I got this idea 24 hours after reading Duffy’s post here.
Titled “My Most Popular Post”, it states simply that it is his most clicked post and provides a link.
I wanted to do the same. But……..my most popular posts, are rather embarrassing.
But if everyone else released theirs……..then to support FOIA……I will too..
We have lost momentum on Around the Horn.…..If everyone on Friday, posts their most popular first, second and third…..we should all get a weekend of laughs…and share some highs, as well as lows, within our clan.
The only rule, is “no spinning” of the results. A simple ….here is mine and a link……will do……
Looking forward to a “fun” weekend for a change………………….

Kavips, you sort of stole my thunder. I was going to do a big post on how disappointed I was that Around the Horn died such a lonely death. I just can’t quite bring myself to reclaiming the damn thing. Yes, it’s sad that that puppy has no home… But I’m not sure I want to care for and feed it. Hopefully this does not constitute spin.

Oddly, the most common search term used to find us (besides “delaware liberal”) is “anal sex.” This is due to this comment. Sometimes Google is weird.

Excellent posts, Maria. You capture the frustration of local politics rather well. I have always felt that better reporting is actually done on a local level, then can be done on a national level….Too bad the pay scale doesn’t reflect the higher quality…….:)
Geek, thanks for sending me that “nugget” so I now show up beside you guys. in that rather dubiously selective Google Search. 🙂
To all: I noticed the links are putting each response into moderation, so if your comment does not show….relax…..I’ll get to it……

Wait, I gave you my favorite posts of the week, not the most popular.

Are we talking most popular in 2008? Or all time? The posts on my blog that have been hit directly most often in 2008 are:
1. On adding satellite radio to my prius.
2. A follow-up on the Lighthouse Story.
3. My story about my blood clot.
That last is the one that I am most proud of. It gets a steady stream of hits and has since 2005. I hope it gives some comfort to the people who find it. They get to it using searches such as “how do I get rid of a blood clot in my leg?”

Welcome to my world. Feel free to modify the text a little to avoid the particular phrasing that is the google kiss of death…

Update: I just got over to “moderation” and released Mahafee’s picks….
If you haven’t already read them…..you should……
And now that there are enough entries to hide behind, I will release my embarrassing portfolio……..Mine are base on number of hits all time…..and often still lead on a daily basis. But, no regrets…

I don’t have time to go back through my stats just now, but I do keep track of Google search terms that lead to TommyWonk. Here are some examples:
“Delmarva Power”–No. 10
“economics of wind power”–No. 9
“arc of the moral universe”–No. 6
“map of aztlan”–No. 3
“financial analysis of recycling”–No. 1
“President Sluggo”–No. 1
“Carney Markell”–No. 1

My stats were just from the last month. Looking at the trend, I think I need to incorporate blogs on government spending with porn.
I think I will be able to relate them somehow.
