Awesome and brilliant.
In all my years as a political junkie I have never seen a situation like the way Obama has been treated – from day one… Especially by progressives and liberals.
Clinton never dealt with this from his own side. Libs/Progs never threatened to not vote for him/primary him over Welfare Reform/DADT/Failure of HCR. And notice that once his HCR plan was shot down he never mentioned it again. Where were the cries of selling out then?
There’s something else going on here because the outrage from the left is so over the top. And I’m not claiming that there aren’t things to be upset/outraged over – I’m saying that I don’t understand the outrage about everything – and credit for nothing. There is no balance in the critique, no shades of gray, and I’m having a hard time distinguishing between D and R comments when it comes to Obama.
I’d love to discuss the details of the debt ceiling bill or HCR but my thoughts and questions are drowned out by shouts of “Obama sucks,” “He’s a liar,” “Corporate shill” and “He’s weak.” Um… okay. Not sure how those comments lead to a discussion. Actually, they lead to a divide.
Dems/Libs should stop laughing at the Tea Party since we are sounding more like them every day. If that’s the plan, count me out.

Both sides are to blame for the economy. However, Obama’s 13 trillion dollar stimulus hasn’t worked and is a big part of the problem. Why is this so difficult to understand? I love that he still blames Bush and will not admit to his role in the poor economy.

Fact:checker:
Both sides are NOT to blame. This is solely a Republican issue. The deficit would be zero if Republicans had left tax laws alone. As of 2008, there would be 0 debt. It would have been all paid off!
No, you are mistaken. The deficit is entirely caused by Republicans on all fronts. One: the tax cuts stopped money flowing into the Treasury. Two, the War in Iraq was funded on credit, meaning all of it’s expense went to the deficit. Three, the war in Afghanistan was funded on credit meaning all of its expense went towards the deficit. Four, the Medicare Prescription Act, where the government pays all prescriptions costs for all seniors, was funded on credit meaning that all of its expense went towards the deficit. Five, the economy tubed because of Bush policies of deregulating those who oversee financial markets, allowed AIG to sell insurance to cover default, but have no money in reserves to cover any of those defaults if they ever were to occur.. Instead … AIG came, hat in hand, begging the government to cover their shortcomings in their behalf, which as you may well guess, was funded on credit, meaning that all of its expense went towards the deficit.
Meanwhile, the Bush economy was dropping in freefall. The GDP was tracking monthly at a negative rate. George W Bush, to his credit, switched from being a neocom, to Socialist in about twenty minutes. He, began the process of using the credit of the Federal government, to support failing banks, a process continued by Obama in his next term. As a result, we are not living in the Dark Ages today, we are not suffering from 25% unemployment as did our ancestors in the Great Depression, and we have a society that was 1) able to still fund unemployment checks; 2) keep the lines of commerce open, 3) allow you to still have jobs.. . (Some of us still believe in paying for a government to be there to protect us when catastrophe strikes, even if that catastrophe was totally caused by Republicans.)
As you know, anyone is allow to say anything here. but this isn’t “la, la” Republican land. lol. If your facts are wrong, you will get called out on it. That’s what happens in the real world.
Oh we know, we know, anyone can say crazy stuff they made up, like that hot dogs taste like Popsicles for example. But if there are NO facts to back that up, then it probably isn’t so…. no matter how many people get paid to say otherwise……
Both sides are not to blame for the deficit. That is myth. Don’t believe me? Try proving it.
