Does Being Black Justify Use Of Excessive Force?

Any white cop will tell you it does.  You can’t predict how a Black will act, they’re just weird, so you must detain him first to protect your own safety… and only then, determine if they’ve ever committed a crime…

And no, you don’t have to do that to white people they tell you….

This brought to mind something quite weird…

Have you ever seen a Black guy walk through an all white neighborhood?  All the white people stare at him… No one says “hey, yo, what’s up bro?  How you feelin’ today?”  The phones ring behind closed curtains as old lady calls old lady… “Better be careful out there, there’s a black guy loose”…  It’s like: put one black guy on the street and everyone gets panicky…

This is fact.  You don’t see that in all-black neighborhoods… When a lone white guy walks down Spruce Street in Wilmington, everyone out on their stoops, calls out to him… Kids run up, “hey, Mister.”  Old folks holler from their porches… “Hot enough for you out there?”  Black men on the corner all say, “hey, what’s happenin’, bro?”…  The atmosphere is a community oriented around love and they open up their hearts (providing you aren’t police)… But it is fact: when a white guy walks down a Black neighborhood street, everyone doesn’t assume he is there to commit crime… But that is EXACTLY what goes on in white neighborhoods…..

Why is that?  Why do whites as a rule get all uppity around blacks, but blacks don’t around whites?

The phenomena which is very prevalent, gives credence to all those cops killing black men because of their skin color… Their fear of the black man is innate.  That “I’d better shoot first or he’ll kill me” attitude causes all of them to respond to fear in a crises and not with ones head…

And this is embarrassing for most white people to acknowledge but they do admit it.  They may not have racist bone in their body, but they KNOW, their community is very scared of black people… Whereas black communities will invite white strangers into to a home BBQ if one is going on… ( especially if they bring booze).

And if you come from that mentality of instinctive fear, you are going to make the assumption that guy is going to kill you first and ask questions later; “Ka Pow”… no questions needed now…

How do you diffuse this?

I believe you can ratchet things downward by asking someone to explain how a gene affecting pigment in your skin makes anyone more dangerous than someone lacking that gene…

I think if we all apply science to this problem and realize that it is just a gene that makes skin dark; no gene is going to make someone kill you first before you have time to assess the threat… any more than the lack of that pigment gene is going to make them kill you first… Pigment has nothing to do with wanting to kill, it’s there to protect skin from excessive sun… Otherwise white people would be locking up freckled Irish, out of fear over what might happen… “THEY HAVE DARK SPOTS ON THEIR SKIN!!! ”

Our race problem is strictly based on myths we carry from our childhoods.  Like Black people are dangerous; … Or white people are always nice to each other and always respect authority… of course neither are true… What is true is that most people do respect authority out of self preservation; a learned trait it comes from their experience in life, not a pigmentizing gene.

When we collectively come to the realization that race is arbitrarily decided by skin color, (it could be eye color, or foot size) then we will have overcome its influence… I know such success is kind of hard to accomplish when you have one major party’s Presidential candidate saying the exact opposite…

But if you were a white cop, and upon walking up to a car see it’s a black person and right then, take a deep breath and pretend its a white person like your Uncle Joe, then the tension with which you approach that car, is the same as if you approached some white old man with freckles…  The person in that car, who’s apprehensive and afraid you are going to go berserk as in those videos, all because he was driving while black, relaxes and diffuses as well for he looks at you as a black cop, same skin color as him…

If every cop did this exercise upon approaching a suspect or someone pulled over, we just might get along a little better…

Research has proven that blacks do get treated more meanly than any other race… We have that data… They are indeed roughed up a lot more than any other race…

The severity seems to be white peoples’ fault; those same white people who freak out every time a black person strolls through their neighborhood and whisper:  “what’s he doing here?”

 

 

Allan West Questions Tammy Duckworth’s Patriotism

If this doesn’t make you turn off Fox News permanently, which is paying Allan West to comment, then you are sick, demented and you are truly an embarrassment to the United States of America….

Allan West:  current Fox commentator: former Tea Party Congressman: brutally tortured, prodded, beat and simulated the execution of an Iraqi police officer. Iraqi police officer! They were supposed to be our allies!  We were paying their salaries! He was declared guilty as charged when all evidence was decided. In other words, his behavior was deemed criminal in view of a military court of justice beholden to the rules set up by the Department of Defense of the United States of America. He is the equivalent of Milosevic.  In a democratic administration, he would have been shot, quickly buried in the sand somewhere. But, unfortunately for America, Cheney was running the war.

Tammy Duckworth:  Duckworth served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and suffered severe combat wounds, losing both of her legs and damaging her right arm. She was the first female double amputee from the war.  She continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard along with her husband, Major Bryan W. Bowlsbey, a signal officer and fellow Iraq War veteran….

But what happened…. was that the above Allan West questioned the patriotic loyalties of the above Tammy Duckworth….

If you ever watch Fox News after this, you DESERVE  the hell you wrought to this country.  We are better than this.  We need to stop rewarding Fox for bad behavior, and we need to punish those exec’s foisting this bad behavior upon us…..   Time to renew the boycott of every single business advertising upon the shows upon which he comments.  It is truly un-American NOT to do so!  After all, we go all out at no limit of expense to celebrate Memorial Day.  And against that, we have someone, being paid to trash veterans for entertainment? Veterans still serving in the National Guard, despite losing both legs?  (It’s an entertainment network, not real news, you know….)   And YOU… you accept this?  As normal?  As right?  As ok?

Delaware Republicans Support Segregation In Sussex County

It is very simple.  If one Republican supports segregation, and the Republican Party does not expunge him from its party, obviously the Head of The Republican Party then automatically inherits the problem and becomes culpable….  But there are two Republicans doing this.  And both are the principal movers of the entire Republican Party (if not name, then deed) of Sussex County.

The only outcry from the Republican Party has been a buried press release from the head here in New Castle County, which no one read…..

That can only mean the Republican Party secretly supports segregation….

Think about it.  You are with a group of people and one starts harassing someone outside your group.  They could be liberal, gay, effeminate, Hispanic, urban, whatever. It doesn’t matter.  But that someone in your group  goes off half-cocked and bullies them n public…

What do you do, sitting there holding your beer?  Do you come to that person’s defense?  “Hey, you can’t do that to them.  You need to leave us right now,  You don’t represent us! You sicken me.  In fact, I’m going to punch my fist right through your f’n head. Then when you’re down I’m going use my new cowboy boots to grind your head into tomato paste.”   (Because if you did,  The bullying would probably stop immediately, since you were becoming  the new threat.)

But probably not.  Most likely you are going to sit there, silent, pondering all your choices, and from the outside keep a stoic face so all around you, especially that person being verbally abused, will assume you are just part of the posse, going along with the sheriff doing the abusing…  If ever later questioned why you chose not to intervene, you will say  “I’m not prejudiced. I actually like “those people”.  I don’t have a part in this fight.  Of course I don’t agree with him, but I’m not going to get into a fist fight with someone I work with…. ”

And thus, through yours and your acquaintance’s  cowardice, you allow the abuse to continue.  Someone else another day, will feel the ire, and then someone else the day later, etc….  The real problem is allowed to continue. And we all know;  it is a real problem.

So when we all are held accountable, (as to why did you do nothing to stop it), despite whatever excuse we proffer it will become obvious to us that there was indeed another choice at that time which could have been made…. We could have done something….

That is why one press release read by nobody, is not enough.  Only one action and one action alone is strong enough to send the proper message that this behavior will NOT be tolerated.  That is to permanently ban Vince Phillips and Sam Wilson from any Republican Party affiliation.  That is to public excommunicate them from the Republican Party of Delaware… That is to issue a restraining order banning Vince Phillips and Sam Wilson from any function even remotely connected to the Republican Party of Delaware…..

IF the Republican Party does not take such drastic action…. they are culpable just as you or I would be if a friend of ours started demeaning a stranger in our presence.   WE WOULD BE GUILTY TOO…..

This is why, no… as in zero… self-respecting human being should donate, volunteer, or even vote for any Republican until the Republican Party has elicited some serious cost upon the perpetrators…  Considering the moral weakness previously exhibited by their current leader, I predict that will be highly unlikely….

I further predict that segregation against the “colored people”  will be continue to be openly practiced in Sussex County because it now has the unspoken  “protection” of the Republican Party.
