Although support for the TDC power plant may look like a chance to support jobs, the reality it that it is an environmental disaster.
When you support a disaster, you eventually lose….
Labor Unions will lose public support if this TDC center goes through…. Withholding the environmental dangers from the public may work short term and get approval, …
But once built, and when ash particles the size of golf-balls begin to fall on Newark, Stanton, Elsmere, Wilmington and Claymont, the public will ask,,, how on earth could this have been approved?
The truth will come out at that point, that bad people sneaked it through using bad ways…..
You will eventually lose prevailing wage if this TDC goes through…. The public will turn on you. I almost turned on you before I calmed down. Economics are a strong suit. But one’s life trumps economics. The environmental consequences of this TDC are gigantic. Everyone who gets cancer will blame you… Anything they can do to hurt you will become their dying wish, if you know what I mean….
What to do….
- Support a data center without a power plant.
- Support building a data center in a rural area close by so we get the same jobs… 20 miles into Cecil County or east of Middletown would do the trick.
- Support something else being built on the same location…. One that has no environmental impact.
Putting your loyalty and support behind the Data Center, is like putting your loyalty and support behind a candidate who unknown to you committed child abuse 25 years ago… At some future point, you lose all your investment…… and are left to fight a defensive war to keep more from being taken away by business groups…..
You did not know this would turn on you. But it has, and will get worse…. Now is the time to sneak out of the back of the crowd while no one is really looking or counting…..
Signed: Your most ardent supporter.

More later. Too soon to comment. Here are the briefs…..
People arbitrarily have their milestones. Some may be grateful when they cross a hundred, a thousand, a million. But for me, I have chosen one of Delaware’s great bloggers who retired at post 1850 as my personal marker of achievement…
Tommywonk used dry humor, and a crisp mind to make his points. We were involved in facing down the four horsemen of the Delaware Legislature running through 2007-2008 leading to the first offshore wind agreement made in the United States. Unfortunately the Republican Depression wiped out a multitude of global hedge funds, and the backers of ours, were included. Currently the rights to Blue Water Wind are owned by one of the biggest opponents of it when we first pushed it forward. Dave Burris and Jason Scott, complimented OUR team of four horsemen….
Anyways, most readers will have no idea of what I’m talking about and that is how it should be. Time marches on, and those who look too much backwards upon the past, run right into a tree.
But I was always far behind him in posts since he started out. I marked my catching up to him here….
Today’s blogging is rather boring compared to what used to take place on these pages. It is as if everyone tries to spout off what they know, and of course, that makes for rather dull personalities. Today we are dry. We used to be wet. We did silly things back then. We laughed a lot. When one of us hit a vein, we all jumped in to open it wide. The News Journal lost editorial control over its state.
Oh Well, I see it took me 553 days to better him up 1000… Seems so much shorter, like it just happened yesterday… lol.
As Rebecca Young used to say…. “Onward.”
The LADEE which graced our skies Sept 6th, 2013 will have the fastest internet anywhere….
It could download a full length move in under a minute… For a while at least. That is until the bandwidth gets filled up with pesky ads.
I woke up. The sun was shining. Birds were chirping as normal. I had electricity, … and most importantly… internet access. I skimmed the news. No catastrophic events. No rioting in the streets. The biggest news was that Rick Perry was still a dick. But, we already knew that… I checked social media. Nothing happening. Everything was normal… The Dow Jones even opened this morning with a 100 point jump!
(Sigh of relief)….
I guess the world doesn’t end the night after DOMA gets repealed… Gee! Who would have thunk?
If you are like me traveling through this interchange is exciting since with every commute, and nightly lane closure, something new and different has been erected.
It has gotten hard with all the complexity, to visualize just where each bridge and ramp will lead…
Hope this helps… It does make one proud of Delaware, … “where roads get thought out first…..”
