All know I’m a fan of free speech. Yet I’m first to use my free speech rights to point out those who call “fire” in a crowded theater, obviously hoping for some real life theatrics…
We all know it is illegal to call “Fire” when there is none in a crowded theater…. So in the battle between free speech and calling “Fire” in a crowded theater, where does Fox News fit in….
Because that is all they do….
In politics (as I know kooks on both sides), crazies play a valuable role… For one, they are ever watchful of the other side. Rarely will anything get past either one side or the other… And we, the citizens who wake up, drive the nation’s economic engine, come home eat, and sleep, don’t have to worry over every little thing…
Fox has seriously helped the right. They have given the right a platform which it didn’t have. After all, facts always have a leftest bias. Though that sounds political to neophytes, it tends to be true…..
Is tobacco healthy? No.
Do women enjoy rape? No.
Does a woman’s biology destroy all incoming sperm when raped, thereby preventing pregnancy? No
Are blacks more stupid than whites? No.
Was the world created in 6, 24 hour days? No.
Is man made global warming made up? No…
Facts have a liberal bias, which is why, to ingratiate themselves with a conservative public, the producers at Fox News have to distort all facts to keep up their charade… Now there is no rule on requiring every American to tell everything factually and honestly. If that premise were so, for one, there would be no divorce courts… Likewise, literature which is the art of embellishment where points are assessed for cleverness on how well certain planks are told, could not exist.
So it is hard to say that Fox News should be held to any different standard than say, I for example… But there is that pesky adage saying that one cannot cry “Fire” in a crowded theater, causing dangerous panic when there is no threat…..
And that is where I’m beginning to think Fox News has crossed that line…
Two things triggered this… and trust me, when it comes to possibly misinterpreting the Constitution I’m very slow to be triggered…
And another was this….
The American precedent for the first video featuring the protester’s action, was set by the residents in Boston, I believe resulting in 5 deaths, including one black man. Without which, we may literally have not become a nation, understanding the way that event rippled its way into our Revolutionary War …. It is both rebellion, and yet is protected under the first amendment.
The precedent for the sentiment expressed in the second item, came from George Washington himself. who as president, called the army together from various militias near DC, appointed himself as its head, and led them on his white horse up into western Pennsylvania, where a similar hick army, copied almost exactly like the TEA PARTY today, was engaged in protesting Congress’s levies on their whiskey pretty similar to those dummies protesting the $1 million owed by the Bundy farm….
The question is really this… Which type of America do the majority of the rest of us want? One run by kooks to whom the government has to kowtow, and acquiesce in its every response,… or one run by regular people appreciative of law and order and appeals and all that stuff that makes America run…
Well. Which of these two do you want? After all, you ARE America.
Fox News cheer leads the first. Nowhere does it mention that these are homeless kids on a bus, kids whose parents paid smugglers (the kids don’t have money), kids who had no choice (mom, I don’t want to go), no independence, kids caught up in a massive political and international crises way beyond their understanding….
I hail the second. It is sickening to see Americans so callous over any children’s plight, that they think is it cool to block and intimidate little kids from being reprocessed and sent home… to revel in their prejudice, look we’re da’ boss, look how tough we are, we can stop a bus of little kids; and shout… USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA, USA……
Personally I’m embarrassed. Just like when I shit and see this big long black thing curled up in the toilet. Shudder. Shudder. Yes, I know it is part of life’s process, .. doesn’t mean I’m proud of it….
But for people to actually hold such their excrement in their hands, up high, proud of it? Shouting USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA. USA…. can only come because someone is encouraging it… I’ve been around people for years.. KKK meetings in the 50’s were like that… But they were people encouraged by Grand Dragon. They were nice people outside the meetings… Likewise the pre-teen German kids at the Nuremberg rallies… they grew up as nice kids, but someone exploited and encouraged them…
Do you know why those children were on the bus? Not the immediate reason, but the overall big reason? They were there for the exact same reason relatives of mine died… because of what the USA represents… They were sent here, because outside our borders, the USA represents opportunity. It represents freedom. It represents right over wrong. It represents good people governing themselves for what is best for them….
Good people sometimes will do bad things if pushed hard enough… The photographer was good. Watching the video I sensed a sincerity in those people waving signs who really thought they were doing America a favor by stopping homeless little children from entering their town…. Who does that? I can only believe the real culprit is not them, but should instead, be that person lying to them. cajoling them, egging them on, rewarding their bad behavior, pushing them foreward… Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it…
We are being judged around the world by this disgusting video… Little kids… barred by a rebellion of fat slobs in American flag shirts yelling: USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA,……
I only ask two things… One is to the world judging us… “Look” I say to them… “We don’t judge you by your shit, if we happen to come across it, say if you forgot to flush”…. “Don’t judge us for ours”….
And two, is: America, we’ve got to do something about Fox News… They are protected under the 1st Amendment (and should be) so even I think it is wrong for our government to interfere with what they say…We cannot start that precedent. But there are 315 million of us, and there is nothing wrong with us taking this fight into our own hands, outside of government…. We can bankrupt them. We have that power….
This is a human thing, not partisan. Certainly not democratic. This is disgust at how low Fox News has brought America by willfully withholding proper facts, and subsequently creating huge crises out of nothing…..
“Americans Unite! That Crazy Black President Is Now Busing “Criminals” INTO YOUR BEDROOM COMMUNITIES! FIGHT THEM. FIGHT THEM NOW!…. ” is pretty similar to yelling “Fire” in a crowded theater… Criminals? Because their parents put them on a bus? Deportation centers? Same as your bed room? Crazy Black President? Yeah, that one who’s doing His job while no Republican is doing theirs?
I think there is enough evidence to say they are doing more than stirring the pot…. There is more volatility now than in the 00’s. the 90’s, the 80’s… Flush Rush, has led the way teaching us exactly how to do it… Fox News doesn’t need to suffer total catastrophic damage to force change. In the corporate environment, just a tiny loss of 1% can cause executives to face life changing decisions caused by their stockholders… There are 315 million of us… We can do 1%….
I know somebody out there reading this watches the Fox Morning Show… All they need to do is write down or lift video of who advertised and then post it daily… Monday through Friday…
These are the FOX blacklisted advertisers today…. It would be helpful if a contact twitter address was added… Then we all tweet the corporate site of the product paying to be on Fox.
“Oh, my, goodness, Boycott this product: ________ It paid to be on Fox’s morning show!!!….”
Now one or two messages won’t do it… but a 1000 will get a twitter monitor’s attention. “Hey boss, check this out”… But it can’t stop there, we all need to be involved. Remember, there are 315 million of us… Help us If we are ever going to get our America back, we have to get past that point where we all think we have to shout at each other and then pound our chests and go USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA,….
There are ways of talking civilly. But they won’t happen when someone is in the middle lying to one side about the other… If we truly want a better America, that middle man is the real enemy. It never was the ones who got stirred up to cause trouble… But that one who is doing the stirring, should be taken out first…..
Let’s get this started. It can only work as a “We, The People’s” project. It can only work by hitting them in the pocket book… Who advertised on them today…? Just report it.
Americans don’t need a new KKK… Do what you can; get rid of Fox today……
It is a movement neither Democratic nor Republican. It is about turning our nation’s values back, towards being the type of nation to which all these immigrants want to come in the first place… Because we are one fuckin’ hell of a great people….
80 percent of the cost of treating victims of gun violence in 2010 was borne in part by taxpayers, according to an analysis of hospital and insurance data.
Hospitals in the U.S. spent $630 million in 2010 treating the victims of gun violence, two dollars for every man woman and child in America. The Medicaid costs of gun violence alone that year amounted to approximately $327 million. Private insurers, and hospitals eating the cost of the uninsured, made up the remaining $403 million.
The average cost of a hospital visit for a gun violence victim is $14,000 more than that of the average hospital stay.
But is the hospital cost the only cost to society? It appears no. Gun violence cost the US $174 billion in 2010. The societal cost per firearm assault injury (includes workloss, medical/mental health care, emergency transportation, police/criminal justice activities, insurance claims processing, employer costs and decreased quality of life) … was $5.1 million for each fatality and $433,000 for each hospital-admitted patient. You as a consumer pay this cost in everything you buy; it is added in. Put in perspective that amounts to $522 dollars for every single man, every single woman, and every single child in America.
How can we save ourselves this money? How can we stop the majority of gun violence? Very simple. Register every gun to an single owner so if a gun is used to kill, someone gets held responsible. Very simple. Registering hurts no one; your car, your house, even your vaccinations are registered for example.
Isn’t it horrible we are having a big battle over something as tiny as registering a fire arm which over a decade has cost every man, woman, and child $5,220 dollars? Over “registering?” We’ve lost our senses.
Americans are paying dearly for the “privilege” to keep a gun that is non-traceable. By registering all firearms and thereby being able to keep guns out of those who would use them in criminal actions, great savings can be saved for all the millions of the American people.
We did, we almost won this with the first wave of the attack; we did far better than we expected; we suffered no causalities. Time to launch again for 2014. The truth, and money, both lie flatly on the side of registering all firearms…
Goal should be: if you are not an upstanding citizen? No Gun. Period.
Here is the problem… The red on top of the line must equal the red on the bottom line before we can go forward. Currently there is now more red on the top of the line. We are indeed better off than we were four years ago. More of us are working…… 325,000 more of us incidentally.
This shows a more disturbing trend. This document does not go far enough back into the Bush administration files, but if one does follow, one sees red below the line all the way back to when Clinton handed off the reins to Bush. That was the last time we had red above the line until we (whoo hoo) just happened to vote for the greatest president in our lifetimes and his accompanying party, the Democratic one…
The Capitalist Party (formerly called the Republicans) don’t really care about jobs. As Capitalist’s (formerly called Republican’s) they care about earnings per dollar. Jobs are a side effect, but when too many people impact their earnings per dollar, they get rid of them. When unions impact their earnings per dollar, they get rid of them. when the Chinese impact their earnings per dollar, they run to them, ignoring the slave conditions those human beings must endure in order to line the Capitalist’s (formerly known as Republican’s) pockets….
When can Capitalist’s (formerly called Republicans) grow jobs? Only when they build a new plant here in the USA. Once it gets built, they have no use for the builders. they have no use for the opening team, they have no use for those extras needed to fill in when someone quits. Once it gets built, they fire people. They like to “fire people Romney says”. (yeah, I know, I’m disingenuous).
If one looks back over the economic data from WWII one sees job growth steady until Ronald Reagan (benefit of doubt given to Nixon_Ford because of oil embargo).. As soon as Reagan got elected, we entered a horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible recession. People got termed left and right. Democrats in Congress were persuaded to lower taxes because of the economy. We had one year of growth. 2006, and then the slide. The 2008 tax law (a low 28% top marginal rate), immediately sucked out and flattened growth and sent it on a skid; we entered the worst recession until Bill Clinton raised taxes and instantly, we began our climb out. It was instantaneous as anyone who foolishly bet on the stock market against Bill Clinton, can well attest. Taxes on the wealthy are the most awesome thing ever created by mankind. The climb continued, America reached new heights of prosperity, and growth seemed like an endless proposition… That is, until the Bush tax cut. Growth stopped. Construction got laid off. And we began our descent. During the Bush years our descent was modified by a housing bubble the Capitalists (formerly called Republicans) created; we borrowed against their newly increased estimated value to survive and keep our Clintonian Standard of Living; it was also blunted by two trillion dollar wars, (imagine being given a credit card with unlimited balance on it; “whoo hoo, livin’ it up, baby” spoken in Donviti style).) As soon as the Capitalist (formerly known as Republicans) were kicked out, the debt became due.
Bottom line, is on the chart above, Capitalists (formerly called Republicans) had a job slump in negative numbers stretching back across the time spans of two of these charts added on to the right.
So when Mitt Romney accuses our Commander in Chief, SURE YOU GREW JOBS, BUT YOU DIDN’T GROW JOBS FAST ENOUGH, one has to point out how his own policies under George W. Bush, did nothing to grow jobs either…. In fact, Mitt Romney’s policies, cost America jobs. (See the evidence in the red below the line in the graph above).
But if you don’t already know that Capitalist’s (formerly called Republicans) economic policy is nothing more than a smokescreen for getting all the money out of your pocket and into theirs, then you aren’t reading this blog… There are still dumb people out there who still believe in Republican values; they just can’t read….
If you do read this, it can be assumed that you already know that every single economic fact ever truthfully told, shows that if you take money out of the middle class, your economy fails. It doesn’t matter if you are a Capitalist (formerly known as Republican)… or a Communist. If you take money out of the middle class, your economy falls….
So how does one put money back into the Middle Class? It’s one word but I’ll say it twelve times, one for each term it has been in effect: Democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats, democrats…..
That is how one puts money back onto the middle class and grows one’s nation and ones economy…
Don’t take my word for it. Look at the chart above! And just imagine how wonderful it would be if we had not had a Capitalist (formerly known as Republican) House of Representatives intent on tubing the economy just to make Obama looked bad? Imagine how great our results would now be, if they had. instead chosen to help America get back up on its economic feet, instead of kickin’ our ass with their pointy cowboy boots, while we were down?
One word leads to more jobs and Economic Growth. Democrats.
It is actually pretty simple…..
You announce from this point forward, official policy is that we burn a Quran for every American killed…. And we will do it here on television, in absolute defiance, perhaps on the Capitol’s steps…….You announce the survivors of any future killed, will burn a Quran every day this day henceforth, in remembrance of that person.
I don’t know why we didn’t think of this before… We know how much it means to that particular sect … One book means so much more than human life over there…My guess is one book has the relative value of a million souls over there. So instead of losing American flesh and blood by trying to do the right thing, we could just simply burn one of their books whenever they failed to live up to our expectation. We could also do it for retaliation…..
And if they retaliated by burning Bibles, I don’t think any of us would mind. We could print more.
Bottom line, instantly, the killings would stop….
Al Qaida to Afghan Police of Soldier: “Sneak in and then turn your gun on Americans. Allah will reward you in heaven.”
Man to self: ” Oh, no. My killing will cause a Quran to be burned in my name because of my actions. These guys are liars. I will rot in hell if I follow through and do what they want…”
Topic: Does News Coverage Affect our Perceptions of a Candidate?
Or, better put, does what we are exposed to, affect us?
Duh……
Does your mother have any influence over the way you feel?
Is your religion affected by the beliefs of your church?
Are you motivated in a certain academic sort of way, because of a person you had as a teacher?
Maybe this is new to young people… But some of us can remember the horror as Khrushchev began denouncing Joesph Stalin, and the atrocities began emerging from someone most saw as a saint….. The same can be said with the wailing and gnashing of teeth, over the loss of North Korea’s “beloved” leader…
Some can remember recent stories of a certain young man, who went to Africa and came back as a sort of Marxist….
Some of us can remember Alex Keaton, a character on the show Family Ties during the 80’s, who in his youth, inspired a long line of future Republicans and business leaders….
So, unless we have been debriefed before, being exposed to something, obviously will affect our viewpoint…. Duh… Which is why, Democrats perfer multiple viewpoints so truth gets out, and Republicans who fear the truth, prefer only a single viewpoint ….
Duh, again…
Needless to say, the research herein, it exciting to political junkies, because it is something we all live… Their use of the Daily Show as one of the control groups, is a stroke of genius….
Since I was fascinated, i thought you might be as well…….
“I’m starting to think we really ticked off Mother Nature somehow, because we’ve been getting spanked by her for about a year now,” he said while grabbing some coffee at a convenience store…..
OF COURSE YOU DID, DUMMY. YOU VOTED FOR REPUBLICANS!
I really didn’t know..
What happens when Republicans can’t get their act together, and close our government because women won’t let them into their uterus?
“Uh, … can I go into your Uterus?”
“No…”
“Damn it, bitch! I’m shutting down the government!…”
Here is the list going out of those who stop getting paychecks just because the Republicans retaliated for not being able to go up into a woman’s uterus….
There is no total at the bottom so I added them all up… 350,564… All human beings. most supporting families including children.
Ok, so what’s the average wage? The average wage of Federal Employees is $81,258….
Now, I’ve got a problem with average wages, ever since I learned that the average net worth of a bar’s patrons, jumps up by $3 billion every time Bill Gates walks into a bar…
So I will take for calculative properties only, a lesser figure, $50,000 to judge the impact. (I know when I was starting out, Federal wages weren’t $81,258!, how I wish they were!)
350,564 human beings… On a map you would have to block out the two lower counties of Delaware to show the impact of how many people would be without paychecks… (157,741 {Kent} + 192,747 {Sussex}…. Imagine, just driving down to Fenwick Island next time if all those people didn’t have jobs!… Of course we could accept that if it were due to an atomic bomb that had caused damage…
But to be caused simply because some Republicans couldn’t go up a woman’s uterus?
All those people without jobs, for a uterus? The immediate loss to our economy of $17,528,550,564 a year…. Hmm, per day, that would be…$47,990,556… 3 times the entire daily economic activity of Dover, Delaware, the 235th largest metropolitan center in the United States…. {$6,052,000,000 divided by 365.25}
This ladies and gentlemen, is the current state of our country, and will be, as long as no one dares challenge conservative values for what they are.
