Yeah, I know. You are surprised.  After all that Reagan said, surely I must jest? Actually no.  Today we have access to data; back then we really didn’t. We depended upon perception and that can be easily flipped with distraction.  Sort of the way the Greenville barons of Delaware have totally destroyed Mike Protack as a viable candidate…  Same thing.  Innuendo, Innuendo, and repetition…

In Carter’s defense this tactic was new, so Carter was sitting up there, like “no, I don’t have to respond to that outrageousness, everyone knows it is not true…”

Funny how things get manipulated…  But look at the Carter years on this chart… 1977 through all of 1980.

Fixed Reinvestment

Free Cash Flow

We had massive investment in our business community.  Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.  What these to charts show, is that America turned its profit from its corporations, to itself.  Investing in capital improvement at the greatest height since figures were started in 1948.  Jimmy Carter still rules the chart….  It is exactly what we lack now.

The top personal bracket was assessed at a rate of 70%…..  yet the effective Corporate Tax rate was steadily falling from its WWII high.

220px-US_Effective_Corporate_Tax_Rate_1947-2011_v2

(Footnote — Notice how the Ronald Reagan recovery of 1983-84 was created?  Increased Corporate tax rates in the Great Reagan Compromise.  Raising taxes is what made Ronald Reagan so well loved and appreciated; not cutting them.   For future reference, just remember the effective corporate rate dropped under Jimmy Carter, and ROSE under Ronald Reagan.)

Social Security was at it’s best ever.

Social Security

Pension Plans at their highest ever…

gr-retirement-trends-624

And for a closer look an employment, one can see here why and where we have lost jobs…

employment breakdown by industry

And most importantly, the era of Jimmy Carter was when the 99% owned it’s highest share of wealth, ever…

Wealth_distribution_over_time

A lot can be said for Jimmy Carter.  He got such a bad rap.  When Ronald Reagan himself was overwhelmingly RE-ELECTED in 1984,  his unemployment level was only 3 tenths of a percent under Jimmy Carter’s back on the previous election day…  If one clicks on the link above which delineates the unemployment rate month by month, ones sees that unemployment did not return to the best of Jimmy Carter’s years, until the waning months of the the Reagan term….

The only class of America that wasn’t better off in the Carter years, was the wealthy….  And that is why, just as today, we had a smear campaign to discredit the person who did the most ever, to help the middle class….

The record shows that America’s middle class peaked in 79.  Then came Reagan.

And if we were totally fair with ourselves, the reason Carter was so throughly dissed was because we were embarrassed with ourselves in the seventies… Our cities in decay, our youth on drugs, the early creative musical giants had dissolved into disco.  We didn’t really like who we were. We had to blame… someone…  After all, this look was actually cool in 1979.

What was cool in 1979

(Thank you Fullerton College)

Gee, no wonder we like Reagan so much…

So I heard the aid to our friends in New Jersey and New York was passed and wasn’t really worried. It was supposed to. A meesly 9 Billion dollars and then 51 Billion later. So later, I was thinking, gee, did anyone vote against that… I wasn’t the only one thinking that…

The New York Daily News was at the top of the charts with a front page headline that screams… Remember the 67 Republicans in House of Representatives who turned their backs on Hurricane Sandy victims

The Daily Beast was right behind it….

Yes. All 67 were Republicans… Let’s get what this Republican “NO” vote says… It says, “YOU DO NOT DESERVE EVEN A MEESLY 9.7 BILLION TO BUILD OUT FROM HURRICANE SANDY!!! YOU SUCK YOU EAST COAST LIBERAL FUCKIN’ SCUM.” That is what this vote is saying… It’s not $60 billion. It’s not $100 billion. It’s not a trillion. It’s $9.7 Billion….

The New York Times has a great interactive map showing they yea’s and nay’s…

Some surprises…. or not… Remember, Republicans are the lowest human element here.

Steven Pallazo, Gulf Coast Mississippi… (Remember Hurricane Katrina?) Look what Google pulls up for him…U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo helps Vietnam vet replace medals lost in Hurricane Katrina Oh, he’ll help his own replace a medal, but won’t help a New Yorker get someplace to live… Typical republican… are you surprised?

Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District, which Palazzo has represented since 2011, includes the city of Biloxi, one of the most heavily damaged communities in the region by Hurricane Katrina. Congress quickly passed an initial $10.5 billion relief package in the immediate aftermath of Katrina in September of 2005

John Flemming, (R La) Had his own primary and runoff election canceled because of Hurricane Gustav, but voted no on relief for Hurricane Sandy. Flemming was involved in controversy when one of his 33 Subway franchises refused service to two Muslims because of their religion. Perhaps because Muslims live in New York?….

Andy Harris R-MD. EASTERN SHORE including the area of Ocean City, Maryland, which lost it’s pier to Hurricane Sandy…. UNBELIEVINGLY voted no aid to Sandy victims… His response? “This really wasn’t aid for the victims. What this was raising the debt ceiling limit”…. WTF…. Typical republican… are you surprised?

Randy Weber R-TX, took Ron Paul’s district, and just a year ago, was according to his tweeter feed, “Sitting in on a Galveston Erosion Response Plan in Galveston City Hall…” trying to get FEDERAL AID to stem Galveston’s Beach Erosion. But, he won’t support money for ‘dem liberals with no houses up in dat der liberal country.” Typical republican… are you surprised?

This just boggles the mind.

You have Mo Brooks of Alabama, who practically went door-to-door in his state after tornados to explain to them how to best get their federal money

Representative Sam Graves of Missouri…. co sponsored a much greater bill for flooding in his state… His quote…“This bill would take into account the new data points caused by this past year’s flood,” said Rep. Sam Graves. “This will ensure that we are prepared for a new worst-case scenario. As communities, roads and farmland all along the Missouri River begin to dry out, now is the time to start making common sense changes to the way the river is managed. This is a good first-step.” Check out this headline! Graves supporting flood insurance extension, but he won’t fund the exact same bankrupt fund for Hurricane Sandy victims.

But ‘dem Liberals in New York are just panhandlers… they want stuff for free…. typical Republican…. are you surprised?

This is going to be the big story this weekend… It boggles the mind. How can any human being take something for his district, then deny that exact same thing to others?

There is something really sick in America.

This is from Huckabee who like me is horrified how the GOP threw Akin under the bus. Here is insight into the quality of those people we will be putting in to head our Executive Branch if we elect a Romney Ryan ticket….

They believe in force; not logic or the art of winning arguments…..

Talking point memos sent from the National Republican Senatorial Committee offering the exact proper language to express to the press to help urge Akin to drop out…

Political consultants were ordered to stay away from Akin or lose future business with GOP committees….

Operatives were recruited to set up a network of pastors to call Akin to urge him to get out…..

Money has changed hands to push him off the plank…

In Huckabee’s words….IT IS DISGRACEFUL……

“…it may appear that the demand for Akin’s head is universal in the party. I assure you it is not. There is a vast, but mostly quiet army of people who have an innate sense of fairness and don’t like to see a fellow political pilgrim bullied. If Todd Akin loses the Senate seat, I will not blame Todd Akin. He made his mistake, but was man enough to admit it and apologize. I’m waiting for the apology from whoever the genius was on the high pedestals of our party who thought it wise to not only shoot our wounded, but run over him with tanks and trucks and then feed his body to the liberal wolves. It wasn’t just Todd Akin that was treated with contempt by the thinly veiled attack on Todd Akin. It was all the people who have faithfully knocked doors, made calls, and made sacrificial contributions to elect Republicans because we thought we were welcome in the party. Todd Akin owned his mistake. Who will step up and admit the effort being made to discredit Akin and apologize for the sleazy way it’s been handled?”…..

Democrat or Republican… is this how you want your government run for four more years? Like it is an extension of Bain Capital? Where truth doesn’t matter? Where there is no forgiveness? Where people are pawns to be moved around at will….

Most disgusting is the fact that pastors were recruited to call on Akin to step down… After this, NO ONE CAN BELIEVE ANY PASTOR WHO SAYS THEY SUPPORTS ROMNEY… It begs the question: “GEE, HOW MUCH IS HE GETTING PAID?”

At least Obama is a real Christian…….

This is going to my hard core Republican friends. Why are you still supporting Romney?

1) You know he is not going to win.
2) You know as the election heats up, his Bain Capital experience will make Republicans untouchable for decades.
3) You can’t pin down where Romney stands on anything.
4) He tied his dog to a car.
5) He stands with black people and says “Who let the dogs out, woof, woof.”

Most of you are telling me, “I certainly can’t vote for Obama. I guess I’m not voting for President this time.”

Let’s say, just for argument sakes there was a presidential candidate out there who says to have good government you need: …………………

1. Become reality driven. Don’t kid yourself or others.
Find out what’s what and base your decisions and actions
on that.

2. Always be honest and tell the truth. It’s extremely
difficult to do any damage to anybody when you are
willing to tell the truth–regardless of the
consequences.

3. Always do what’s right and fair. Remember, the more
you actually accomplish, the louder your critics become.
You’ve got to learn to ignore your critics. You’ve got to
continue to do what you think is right. You’ve got to
maintain your integrity.

4. Determine your goal, develop a plan to reach that
goal, and then act. Don’t procrastinate.

5. Make sure everybody who ought to know what you’re
doing knows what you’re doing. Communicate.

6. Don’t hesitate to deliver bad news. There is always
time to salvage things. There is always time to fix
things. Henry Kissinger said that anything that can be
revealed eventually should be revealed immediately.

7. Last, be willing to do whatever it takes to get your
job done. If you’ve got a job that you don’t love enough
to do what it takes to get your job done, then quit and
get one that you do love, and then make a difference.

Honesty. Integrity. Principal.

Sounds good so far. Let us say just for argument, he had chief executive experience. Let us say just or argument that he once ran a state, one of the fifty in this union. Let us say while governor, this is what he did…..

During his tenure, New Mexico experienced the longest period without a tax-increase in the state’s entire history.

1) He cut the rate of government growth in half,

2) Left the New Mexico state government with a budget surplus and 1000 fewer employees (without firing anyone),

3) Privatized half of the prisons in the state,

4) Brought a state-wide school voucher system to New Mexico.

5) Vetoed 750 bills (more than all the vetoes of the other 49 Governors in the country at that time, combined) with only 2 overrides, earning him the nickname Gary “Veto” Johnson.

6) In 1999, Johnson became the highest-ranking elected official in the United States to advocate the legalization of drugs.

7) Shifted Medicaid to managed care.

ISN’T THAT WHAT YOU WANT? ISN’T THAT WHAT WE NEED?

Can you not think of a better way to show your lack of enthusiasm over a wealthy capitalist buying his way to the top of your ticket, by voting for someone who has character, who does what you’ve always wanted, a doer, not a talker?

And to think…. you were simply just going to throw your vote away.

His name is Gary Johnson. He is the new party’s candidate for President.

Remember Republicans. It is your values that are important. If your party has given up and moved on from your values, don’t think you have to be loyal to the word…. “Republican”… What you have to be loyal too, is yourself. Always. Never lie to yourself.

You don’t need to waste your vote on Romney. You probably need to find more about this guy, Gary Johnson, and then throw your support behind him.

Don’t worry it is not one of the two parties on whose ticket he is running. Remember, at one point in time, the Republican Party was a once a third party too. One that went mainstream because of its core values, its principles resonated with everyday American People.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that 5,600 Delaware residents will benefit from $1.8 million in rebates from insurance companies this summer, because of the Affordable Care Act’s 80/20 rule. These rebates will average $351 for the 5,300 Delaware families covered by a policy.

Obamacare is working!  Obamacare is saving people money.  They were at the mercy of insurance companies before.  Now, they have $1.8 million in their pocket.

It is not because of Republicans!.. They are the ones taking money out of your pocket, handing it to the insurance companies, and saying “don’t forget about that campaign contribution in October.”

No one can trust Republicans unless you are making more then 10 million a year. No one.

So when they say the first thing they want to do in January is repeal Obamacare,  and now you can see why.

That want insurance campaign contributions… and that is all.  They don’t give a fuck about you.

Only Democrats can right the wrongs… Do what you know you must.  Swear on a stack of Bibles, never, never,  never, never vote for a squirmy, sluggish, beetle-infested, putrid, maggotty, caterpillerish, centipedific, millipederishes, multi-lensed eyeballed, appendage ringed mouthed, stinger-embedded, infectious bacterial infested, food coveting, ooze secreting, spontaneously defecating  insect who swears allegiance to the Republican Party….

Spray them with insecticide instead…..

(Wow, what a great demo idea for the Republican National Convention……)

Sometimes after reading truth like this, you just want to walk into a room of thronging with roaches, pretend they’re Republicans and squish them each and every one ………

Current Chart of Global Temperatures
Ice depletion
(Right click for full image)

At first they said there is no global warming……. When that became impossible to defend, they said that global warming data was made up… When that became impossible to defend, they said there was no correlation between carbon dioxide and global warming, When that became impossible to defend… they said it volcanoes caused all the carbon dioxide. When volcanoes stopped erupting and the warming symptoms continued, they said the earth naturally warms all by itself…. When that became impossible to defend, they conceded that perhaps people were the cause of global warming, but it was not their use of Exxon-Mobile, Chevron, Shell-Texaco, BP, or Gasprom that caused it… When that became impossible to defend, they said today, there were more open pussies than in the past…

CRI might be on to something… In 1850, there were 1.171 billion people on this planet…. This year we will approach 7 billion (did we already hit? No, August 26, 2011)… Which means there are 5.83 billion more humans than in 1850; or roughly, 2.91 billion more women with open pussies heating up the planet today….

Damn, women! Cross your legs! The ice is melting!

The question is, with what breaking entry does one return back to the fight?

The answer is this one:

The union of two separate energy stories that my generator spit out back to back. It had to be a sign….

Out of all or today’s news feed the headline that jumped out strongest, and caused me to click into the story it provided, was this one:

Students Build Hydrogen Vehicle That Gets 1,336 MPG

Far more implication for our future lives just radiates out of that title; far more than the balancing of the Supreme Court, the death of Republicanism, or the wonderous WDEL broadcast emanating out of Rick Jensen’s spot this afternoon…..

Cost, climate, family incomes, jobs all the stuff we deal with daily, are impacted by that title.

Serendipitously speaking the next headline showing underneath was this one:

Urine: The Hydrogen Fuel of the Future?

Yes, … I am officially back.

Kilroy Nails it Good   This is exactly what it is all about….

So How Do We Step It Up for the Third Bush Term?
