Stumbled across this and thought it deserves being passed on because ultimately YOU are the solution (and not each candidate in who it appears must lie because that is the only way they can possibly be taken seriously enough to win… )
Knowledge is power and when you know how YOU think, you can sometimes second guess yourself out of making those wrong decisions which your first instinct is to jump into with both feet…
So why do they lie? Those of us who have made the Internet their home must wonder over the audacity or ignorance of these upstarts who think their lies simply will go unchecked forever… So why then would they lie and why would anyone follow someone who lies so much?
According to one human scientist, Jim Taylor (Phd), there are many reasons and here briefly are the top six.
Many politicians are narcissists. … Most would agree. “Narcissists are arrogant, self-important, see themselves as special, require excessive admiration, have a sense of entitlement, and are exploitative, ” which, like it or not, causes them to believe that they are right and, even if they are not, they think they’re too smart to be ensnared inside any consequences.
Politicians know their followers will believe them, even in the face of irrefutable evidence to the contrary. Here, Facebook, blogs, and journalistic comment sections have certainly confirmed this to be true. One reading through their comment streams can readily see how supporters flat out refuse to look at any evidence remotely throwing shade upon their candidate.
People don’t want to hear the truth… “no one wants to hear things that threaten their existence, their beliefs, or that will make them uncomfortable. It is decidedly better for politicians to tell people what makes them feel comfortable. Why should politicians be the purveyors of bad news (and decrease the likelihood of getting people’s votes) when they can tell fairy tales with happy endings (which, of course, everyone wants) and come out the victor.” When ones entire livelihood depends solely on people liking you more than they do someone else, deliberately putting salt in someone’s wound is not a good technique for self survival..
The Internet never forgets. We tell this to our children to keep them from posting images they later regret. But that adage cuts both ways… Whereas the truth is always out there when you do wrong, so are those lies always following you close each time you do right. Unlike human reasoning, nothing ever gets settled on the Internet…Someone can stumble across and false flag without seeing all the evidence pointing it out as such, and BAM! That controversy starts all over again; it’s become the 21st Century equivalent of a “sucker being born every minute…”
Cognitive biases. “The human mind engages in many cognitive tricks to help people be more efficient, reduce confusion and anxiety, and keep life simple and coherent”. Across our evolutionary survival we developed the overall tendency to reinforce what we perceived as having always worked for us, instead of rushing down every new alternative path opening up our way. The very valid fact that we are still here as a species, is pretty damning evidence to its effectiveness…
If a lie is told enough times, people will assume it is true. “People expect that lies will be disproved and fade away. So if the lies continue to be heard (over and over and over) people assume they must be true.” “If there is smoke, there must be fire” Prior to the technical age, there were physical limits on a lie’s speed and reach. One could only talk to a limited number of impressionable people per day… and often many would retort back with contrary evidence dispelling the lie immediately upon its hearing. Now, lies reach millions in a second, drowning out those individual replies dispelling them. Checking out each statement’s validity has become tediously time consuming, during which multiple repetitions of the same lie continue, making its effectiveness all the more believable…
=======
With knowledge now stored as 1’s and 0’s we enter a new age in which our age old defenses against mis-information are no longer valid. Hence charts like that at the top of this post become very important… All it means is that “someone” out there checked and rated each of these candidates on issues ranging from “truth” to “pants on fire”…. and made this determination… something we are no longer capable of doing ourselves.
As always, your best bet is to go with those who won’t steer you wrong… That is lesson true in life, as it is in politics….
Taking a page from the Republican play book, where one takes an event, finds the worst possible thing in it, and harps on that one thing ad nauseum.
So it is with the Newark Riots.
In an embarrassing glitch of sensational journalism, that could only have one purpose, elevate charters to appear better than public schools, Newark High was portrayed as having a giant riot requiring 4,000,000 policemen to come in from neighboring states to break it up…
Instead. Two gangs. 11 people, were fighting each other… and… no one was hurt.
Caught in the exaggeration of 4,000,000 cops coming in to handle the riot, the News Journal continues to drill down on it today…
You have already seen the NHS student letter written to the News Journal… The newspaper lied; a student calls them on it… Pretty sad when someone too young to vote has infinately more credibility THAN THE ONLY DAILY NEWSPAPER IN THE STATE…
“But it can’t be ignored that officers of the law were prevented from performing their sworn duty – which included protecting the rowdy onlookers. Their parents and guardians should be made aware of their role and some measure of responsibility and punishment needs to be considered”..
Can someone bitch-slap them for me?
It was 7 am… The students have just gotten off their buses and are headed to class… the halls are 15 feet wide. All students must pass the A cafeteria. There are over 1,500 students… No student is going to walk by people fighting in the hall… They stop. 1,500 students stop behind them…. The police who come last have to maneuver through 1500 students to get to the fight…..
Imagine police trying to crash through the waiting line to get inside Space Mountain?
There is nowhere in the original report of any mention where students intentionally were trying to keep police from getting to the fights. In fact, 99.9% of the students were on the police’s side of this. Arrest the bums and get them out! But there was nowhere to move.
Here is how a more responsible news organization reported the event….
And here is exactly how the News Journal reported it on Monday….
“Impeding” as in being stuck in the middle; not interlocking arms in protest to prevent passage of law enforcement!
And here is how the News Journal spins that story, and this comes from the editorial board itself…..
This is the textbook definition of “liable”. Falsehoods perpetuated by a commercial media. It is past time for a class action lawsuit against the News Journal over its damage done against every student in our public schools… If one takes the enrollment of last year from across the state… 133,369 and figures that they’ve done $1,000 damage per student (college remedial classes to undo Common Core), the minimum of the class action suit should begin at $133,369,000… This is the amount for what the News Journal should be sued over this defamation; it owes Delaware’s children for its past deceit and for choosing to not report facts going on inside the Delaware Department of Education, as they truly were…..
When it comes to education in Delaware and the News Journal editorial board…. you are always being lied to….. Either they are too lazy to check out a story; too rich to care, or are working solely off an agenda to elevate charters (which all know are worse than public schools) by denigrating public ed
My friends, we are gathered here today to celebrate one of life’s greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of committed marital love, and to add our best wishes to the words which shall unite these two people in marriage. In the words of our Creator, what God hath brought together, let no one cut asunder.
The commitment that the two of you are about to make, is the most important commitment that two people can make; you are about to create something new, the marriage relationship, an entity that never ends.
As you stand here today, are you now prepared to begin this commitment to one another? (I am)
Have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage? (I have)
I would ask that you both remember to treat yourself and each other with dignity and respect; to remind yourself often of what brought you together today. Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness and kindness that your marriage deserves. When frustration and difficulty assail your marriage – as these do to every relationship at one time or another – focus on what still seems right between you, not only the part that seems wrong. This way, when clouds of trouble hide the sun in your lives and you lose sight of it for a moment, you can remember that the sun is still there. And if each of you will take responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight.
Will you have this person to be your wedded partner? (I will)
Will you love and comfort then, honor and keep them, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto them as long as you both shall live? (I will)
Will you have this person to be your wedded partner? (I will)
Will you love and comfort them, honor and keep them, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto them as long as you both shall live? (I will)
Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, join your right-hands, and declare your consent (before these witnesses) by repeating after me:
I, take you to be my partner, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as long as we both shall live. Take this ring as a sign of my commitment and fidelity to you. …

In so much as the two of you have agreed to live together in Matrimony, have promised your commitment to each other by these vows, (and) the joining of your hands (and the giving of these rings), by the authority vested in me by the State of Delaware, I now pronounce you a married couple. Congratulations, you may now kiss as a married couple….
Ladies and Gentlemen here who are witnesses. May I present to you the world’s newest couple….
Awwwww. How can anyone vote against something as wonderful as that?
it is from this headline: How Bodenweiser story is playing in the UK paper, DAILY MAIL
Here is the rescued comment…. to set the scene, the previous commenter had just mentioned the silliness of a 1987 divorce playing into determining who would be our next President….. (and now the comment.)
“I agree it is inconsequential, the Staples thing… But it brings up a fabulous point… And we all like fabulous points here.. lol…
Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. But, if Romney also lied under oath…. what does a Republican do?
Does he admit publicly that his party was very wrong in the 1990’s? That his party was only playing politics? That his party only made it important because they thought it might embarrass the President and use that to get a Republican in the next term? Does a Republican admit that lying under oath about a personal matter, is really no big deal at all, they they, as a party were telling terrible lies as to how they felt?
Or do they stick to that story, and abandon Romney on principal? He lied under oath, and therefore, even though he is of “my party”,.. he is “unfit” to be president.
I mean one can’t morally have Donald Trump impute that Obama is lying about something that happened in college, and is therefore unfit to be a president, when you have documents paraded in front of all America, showing Romney to have actually lied, not just lied to the American people, but lied under oath….
My question for Earl Gray, Mike of Delaware, Mr. Pizza, and those who support high moral principals: what is a Romney supporter supposed to do when his morals are put into the spotlight and he has to answer which was right? To have impeached Bill Clinton and now fire Romney? Or continue ones support for Romney and have the National Party officially “apologize” publicly to William Jefferson Clinton? It truly is quite a dilemma for the Republican Party.”
This totally blows Donald Trumps announcement out of the water. Sorry Donald, take a seat on page ten. TMZ reports that in the unsealing of divorce documents today of a divorce case between the head of Staples and his ex, under oath Mitt Romney testified that “Staples was worth nothing” and “its founder was a dreamer”. Then as soon as the divorce was final, Mitt Romney and his friend, both took their stocks to Goldman Sachs and cashed them in for a fortune.
The lying under oath part, is as tricky as that which applied to Clinton. It will depend upon what “is” means. Could Mitt have been telling the truth and then just days later, the stock went from zero to millions?
But no matter which definition “is” was, it went through a “Republican” House of Representatives in what historians now deem a purely partisan travesty of justice. Considering the unconscionable infidelity was simultaneously being practiced by Newt Gingrich and Henry Hyde, who while cheating on THEIR spouses, they were condemning the president for doing it to his.
Republicans will no doubt dismiss lying under oath as being inconsequential, and surely not a high crime or misdemeanor which could ever be considered worthy of impacting the President of the United States.
What goes around…. comes around… Karma is a bitch…
(UPDATE: As I was putting in the tags, a pattern clicked. Why is it that “lying” is almost always involved as being central to every story written about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan? Here it is again. If we elect a Republican, we, who have been warned over and over and over again, surely will deserve all the horrible things we will get out of these next four miserable years… )
Global warming. When someone knows they lie, they scream louder for the truth. That is what Ceasar Rodney Institute does when confronted with Global Warming…
As heard on WDEL (Rick Jensen show hosted by Flattery Bros on Monday August 20th) “these alarmists complaining the sky is falling… ha ha… haven’t they ever heard of volcanoes. of, of, of thunderstorms… lightening flashes? There are lots of natural things that make the world hotter… Mankind is too small to have the power to make the world hotter…”
LOOK, WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE LYING……
But like a dog who messes up your carpet, it always feels good to rub their noses in it….. Maybe they’ll bite their tongue next time…..
From Britain, the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of Reading, determined that if all nature went totally berserk, ripshod crazy… it could only cause 30% of the current damage to the ice levels we now see.. And that was the best scenario… there were some cases where the most damage caused by natural phenomena… could only cause 5% of the damage we now see…
Sooooooooo, if only 30% of the damage comes from nature…. hmmmm… where does the other 70% come from?……
The authorities at Caesar Rodney, are left to conclude … God. Because if it was truly 70-95% man-made, then they have been totally wrong all these years….
That’s sad.
Once the purse of lies and deception ever gets opened, it cannot be closed.

This is just the beginning but the above thread includes pictures that discredit the official story from 1969.
Bain Capital appears not to be the only cover-up involving Mitt Romney. There are some serious qualms over this incident that occurred when Mitt was 21.
Steve buried it first.
Tallahassee, the capitol city of Florida, a state of 19 million people, had a parade for veterans, … and nobody came…..
And this state went for Mitt Romney, overwhelmingly. And this state is also considered the birthplace of the Tea Party. And this state is so backward they don’t arrest someone standing over the body of a dead man, because that dead man’s skin is darker than the guy holding the gun….
And this state doesn’t give a fuck about veterans. Yet they were the first to argue that American men and women go over to invade Iraq….
Selfish, selfish, selfish Floridians. And they… liked Mitt Romney the best…
This is exactly what we will get, if Mitt Romney becomes president. A country where no one cares….
Only one man can stop Mitt now. It is now, or never….
(Seriously, how could any person run for the American Presidency and hate American soldiers as much as he does…) Makes everyone want to punch him right in the middle of his square jaw….
