With Sandy’s approach, words of warning went out to all campaigns.. Get your big signs down for the storm. Feel free to put them up after the storm blows by. Everyone got an email.
Democrats were in full force, and in New Castle County, not one Democratic sign was left standing… By noon all were stored for safe keeping…
There were no libertarian candidate’s signs. As dedicated citizens, the libertarian team scoured the county and by noon, their signs were all stored for save keeping.
The one Jill Stein sign I’d seen, was gone. Secured by the Green Party….
In fact the only signs up as darkness approached, were those of Alex Pires, which is understandable, it being a one man operation, and those of the Republican line up, which apparently has even fewer supporters.
It looks like Kansas, at intersections now, with only Republicans contesting a one man operation….
If the Green Party and Libertarian party can mobilize faster than the Republican, it is time to stop calling the Republican Party a “major” party.
Even the Wizard of Oz had more going for it than today’s Delaware Republicans, who with their daily bumbles are rapidly creating a new definition of the English word pathetic.
They are shills. They may be nice people too, to be honest I don’t know, but they are shills…. It’s like voting for a candidate endorsed by Dick Cheney. Ewwwwww.
You know there has to be an ulterior motive, somewhere.
Today the White House issued this Executive Order.
“Should the debt ceiling not be lifted in time by May 16, in order to prevent the Treasury from running out of funds, I am hereby using the emergency powers given to the Chief Executive by the Constitution, to temporarily suspend the Bush Tax Cuts until: 1) either we can legally borrow the funds to continue paying on our commitments, or 2) we bring our debt down to the 2008 level by having much more tax revenue pour in.
This is in effect, immediately, and I have instructed the IRS to recalculate all 2010 tax forms over the level of $2 million dollars, and asses those individuals and companies, for the differences.
We must take this action because Republicans want to pay politics with your lives. As Chief Executive, I am responsible to you, not them. I won’t let that happen.
With these tax cuts out of the way, and with our austerity programs already in effect, that windfall of profit the Treasury will receive, will be entirely funneled towards the paying off our debt.
This policy will continue until Republicans can act reasonably and in a productive fashion.
Barack Obama.

Political violence is a pretensor of war. If you don’t like what the other person believes, you kill him. That’s what war is.
The whole idea of politics is,… that things get settled without killing. If you start killing, it becomes war, and politics becomes a thing of the past.
We have all felt angry at opponents. We have all wished someone would “take out” our opponent just to make our lives easier. That is normal behavior. That is universal behavior.
But, there is a difference from privately wishing and actually doing it. “Taking someone out” leaves pain that lasts long afterward. It leaves children without parents, parents without partners, mothers without children. To those hurt by political violence, what should be their proper response?, “Taking out” someone on the other side?
Alas, there will always be nuts out there.
But nuts want approval too. Anyone standing up and publicly giving them the idea that they can again be a worth to society for pulling a trigger, actually aggravates the assault.
Those who egg on violence, need to be held accountable for their actions. They need to be sued.
We have courts. We have tons of lawyers out of work. Businesses and families and corporations all get taken to court on accusations, based on flimsier evidence than this.
If you have any followers what-so-ever, and you stand up and say: “someone needs to kill this person”, you certainly can be listed on any victim’s lawsuit for damages.
If violence of any type continues, every victim should sue Sarah Palin.
It doesn’t matter if she’s guilty. It does matter that it stops.
What truly matters that again, we all realize politics is something fun, like sports.
So what if New Orleans is going home tail tucked between their legs. Do we drive to the Space Needle and kill Seattleans?
Politics needs to be the same way. Weighing in Beck, Palin, and Hannity with lawsuits should yield a very quick solution.
