Fed Ex shooting.  A FedEx employee wearing ammunition draped across his chest “like Rambo” opened fire

All legal in Georgia.

In addition to a shotgun, the gunman also had an undisclosed number of molotov cocktails,

All legal in Georgia.

The shooter first shot a security guard at a shack outside the building.. Everything up to the split second the shell impacted the guard, was under Georgia’s new law, completely legal.

He was a white male.

Is anyone really surprised?  Guns are more important than people inside the state lines of Georgia…..

On the fifth day of protests, still 20,000 showed up in Tbilisi to protest their president’s mismanagement of last summer’s war…

If you can remember, he launched an attack upon the Russians in South Ossetia at the insistence of Karl Rove and John McCain’s campaign chairman, in order to create an international crises that was hoped to make Obama appear unready to hold the reins of power..

The ploy backfired all around, and especially in Georgia, where the Russians quickly set up a defensive perimeter and Georgia was left wondering who their president was representing… them? or an American political party half a world away….

His opponents say the 41-year-old leader has made too many mistakes to remain in power until 2013. They have a point.

The twenty thousand who showed up on the fifth day, is down from the 60,000 who originally protested on Thursday… That gives Mikheil some breathing room… In central Asia, protest are supposed to grow on succeeding days… not diminish.

The protesters are asking for Saakashvili’s resignation, but with diminishing turnout, it appears that will not happen… For his part, Mikheil has asked to engage in discussions with the opposition to obtain some form of resolution… Most believe some funding of the opposition is coming across the border from Russia… since no one has money in Georgia anymore….

Ironically both Mikheil and Barack got their original funding from the same person…. George Saros…

Today “State Department Spokesman Richard Aker told reporters Friday that the U.S. had no stance on whether Saakashvili, (whom the U.S. vigorously supported during the conflict with Russia last July over breakaway provinces South Ossetia and Abkhazia) should step down. Aker said any question of political leadership was an “internal Georgian matter” and stated that the U.S. supports the right to peaceful public protest.”

The current leadership has learned how NOT to behave from its predecessor… We are fortunate for their wisdom….

The official results do not come out until later. But preliminary evidence has now proved beyond all doubt that no recession this grave has been experienced during the lifetime of anyone younger than 69 ( a good number by the way).

There are signs that those in the know like to watch, which tell the future years down the road and those signs now point to a Great Depression. It would be wise to note, that these “shades of what may be to come” as mentioned in Charles Dickens Christmas story can still be altered by changes in future events…

The fate was solidified with this which occurred on today’s last broadcast of CNN’s Late Edition. Vice President Dick Cheney, known among betting men, as “the man who is always wrong”, today declared “that its premature to call it the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.”

Being the one to know, Mister “He-who-is-never-right”; with a record of wrong choices a mile long, some of which include statements such as: “I am the best person to serve as the Vice President of the United States”; “Deficits Don’t Matter”; “Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid”; “There are stockpiles of WMD’s in Iraq and we will find them”; “We have to make America the best place in the world to do business”; “We will in fact be greeted as liberators”; …… always seems to make sense at time, but after ample time has passed, seems to have strung us along, fully knowing what he was saying was not backed up by facts, and each time seems to have bettered himself financially by having us believe in what he says, and take him for his word.

So if we look at his record, we see that he was wrong on Iraq, wrong on Afghanistan, wrong on Iran, wrong on Israel, wrong on Syria, wrong on Georgia, wrong on tax breaks, wrong on the deficit, wrong on securities deregulation, wrong on the economy, wrong on global warming, wrong on renewable energy, wrong on Enron, wrong on education, wrong on environmentalism, wrong on ethics, wrong on Executive privilege, wrong on gasoline prices, wrong on immigration, wrong on privatization, wrong on racism, wrong on what’s best for America; we can only assume by his track record that he is also wrong when he says it is too premature to call this episode equal to the Great Depression. Of course you can go against conventional wisdom and bet against him, ……… but the odds of winning are long…… way too long……

As his track record shows, he is fully aware of the facts, and each time he makes such a brash statement, it is ultimately proven to be wrong and designed to throw us off. Therefore the best option to take away from his last interview as Vice President on CNN is to accept the premise that we ARE in a Great Depression, and pull out all stops now to stop its slide, ….. before it is too late… That means pulling out ALL stops, so that the opposite of this foreboding last statement by Cheney is not given its chance to come due:

“The days of looking the other way while a despotic regime tramples human rights, robs it’s nations’ wealth, and then excuses it’s failings by feeding it’s people a steady diet of hatred … are over.”

As of this writing we have 8 days and twenty hours before it really does comes true………. Let’s not jinx ourselves by listening to any arguments being made by Cheney’s compatriots now arguing against the passage of Obama’s “Economic Jump Start”. Remember all along, they were just as wrong too……..

As a parent, this bothers me. It brings up the question as to why he would do it?

Obviously it’s intent is to send a signal. “Like I am master”; “I’m beyond Reproach”; “I am in complete Control”; “My needs trump all Others”.

It also says I don’t care what society thinks; I’m doing exactly what I want.

With today’s technology, were it a misplaced squeeze, it could have easily been reshot and spliced. And with Republican hopes of a Senate victory, you know their top analysts all looked at it before it was sent out?

Puzzling… why was it left in?

Yes, it supports the Republican’s version of family values.. “keeping it in the family” But it also shows a very callous nature on the person playing the role of the father…

What it shows is that in that arrangement, a daughter’s place is to serve the needs of her father, and not what I always thought should occur… a father’s role to grow and nurture his daughter…

When one places this scene in context with his last election, where his Vietnam-ed missing limbed opponent was deemed to be too un-American for Congress… you see a psychologically disturbing trend…

This is one sick man, folks.. This is the last thing Congress needs right now.

You really have to ask… why would anyone do this?

And I won’t even bring up what it does to the daughter who now has to live with this the rest of her life…

Her first college date: “Oh…. so you’re THAT daughter….”

Just a couple of coincidences. To the Chinese, the number 8 means prosperous. The Olympics began on that date, and based on the number of records being broken, the Chinese should be commended. Incidentally, American viewership is up….way up…..

Coming from an American official, the invasion of Ossetia being timed on that same day, 888, was no coincidence…..

That invasion and its Russian reply, has recently convinced Poland to secure those controversial missiles from the United States. Today Poles marched in the street to celebrate the anniversary of a rare victory over the Russians…..That battle happened exactly 88 years ago.……..
