As we know, the economy is not great yet. One of the major reasons can be see by the lack of demand for large base items that comes from the lack of spare change among many people resettled into new jobs now paying less than their old jobs.
Take recreational boats… It does not make sense to increase production of boat building when those extra boats will not be sold because there are not enough people with enough money to buy them… There are plenty of people; just not enough with the sufficient funds they once had left over to pay for that boat on the lake…
As you can see, despite the positive job data, we have a distance to go before we reach the esoteric heights where Americans are confident enough to spend money on items requiring additional manufacturing jobs to be created…
Essentially people need to be paid more so they can buy more.
So how do we go about that? Write wages in stone? That doesn’t work, it’s been tried. If wages are not marketable, then they become an entitlement. If I can’t sell myself to a higher bidder, then my personal expansion is out of the question. Likewise, I may be very productive, and that covers my coworkers who are not productive at all. If one gets paid for only showing up, over time, that is all some will do. So writing wages in stone as a policy is out.
Economic graphs made across history show us an interesting trend. Wages were flat though the 1800’s. 100 years of flat wages. When the income tax went into effect, the first rise began. When it was cut, the wages declined. Then with the New Deal, with its increased rates, they again soared. When income taxes reached near 100%, national unemployment was in the negatives because of the very high number of people working two jobs. Only when taxes were cut in ’88, did wage rates begin to fall, to rise when taxes were raised in ’92, climbing all the way until the W. Bush Tax Cuts went in, and they’ve been declining ever sense…
Why? It is debatable because it is a task so huge, that mining data is impossible. But we tracked. It happened. As is the usual human tendency, even when it is something we don’t understand such as patting Betty Grable’s pin up’s bottom every time you fly up to engage the enemy, each time we are successful, we keep doing it…
In theory, if you have money as an employer, which is about to be taxed and handed over to Uncle Sam, putting it into your business makes more sense than handing it over carte blanche. At least in your business, you still have control over it and can steer it in directions you desire. That includes paying ones people. “Hey, Boss? I’ve got a baby on the way, and my wife can’t work. I’ve done a lot for you, can you spare more money a week?” “Might as well,” he says, “I don’t get to keep any of it; Uncle Sam takes everything extra I make”..)…
Which explains why the economy only began to really grow, after January 2013, when the Bush tax cuts on the top .5 of one percent were pushed up to 40% from Bush’s 35% rate…. That extra 5% was the catalyst for the growing economy we see now.

The weaker job growth and outright job losses under the Romney plan are driven by his proposal to cap government spending at 20 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), a move that implies very large cuts to overall spending.
And just to put a finger on how well this really is? Here is the growth outlook posted by economic think tanks leading up to the election of 2012. One must bear in mind they are probably going to be politically inflated considering when they were announced….
Where as actually, we outdid that. 2.2 million new jobs in 2013…. and so far as of July 2014, this year has already grown…1.6 million brand new private sector jobs…
Those calculations, once poo-poohed by Republicans as being pie in the sky and based on myth, have simply been crushed…
Raising taxes on the top earners… works.

There is no way there was an altercation. There is no way Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman.
Dr. Shiping Bao, the Volusia County medical examiner who was in charge of handling slain-teenager Trayvon Martin’s body in February 2012, has come out and claimed that, despite Zimmerman’s statements regarding their altercation, there was no feasible way for Martin to have been on top of Zimmerman when the gun was fired because the bullet entered Martin’s back. ….
One must be initially skeptical because this new revelation, is being made by one subsequently fired from his position who is now threatening to sue the state of Florida for $100 million dollars.
But, if anyone knows white supremacists, there is a lot of circumstantial evidence going in this direction.
One, the assistant medical examiner is not white. He is Asian. A minority himself. It reminds one of those films where a black child witnesses a lynching and then is told, “boy, you tell no one about this, you hear?” and out of fear, willingly obliges….
The claim this medical examiner is making is that when he questioned why the “official version” was not related to the placement of the gunshot wound, he was told to ” zip his lips. ‘Shut up. Don’t say those things.”
Since this message was released by Mr. Bao’s attorney, and specifically to a sympathetic ear with a well read reading base, one may have reasonable doubts as to their validity.
Two, recent activities by Zimmerman himself, now that his handlers have all packed their bags and departed, has given far more credibility to him having a persona who would have lovingly shot Trayvon simply to paraphrase Johnny Cash, “watch him die.” His ex-spouse has been quoted (and retracted) as having Zimmerman state as he waved his gun in front of her and her dad, that “he’d take care of both of them just like he did Trayvon”... Unfortunately the proof is in a busted up phone in police protection and may never be recovered. The original police chief who knew Zimmerman, has been quoted saying “Zimmerman was a nut case”.
Three. What was on trial for Floridians and their sponsors ALEC, was the unconstitutional gun law. The trial needed Zimmerman to be innocent, in order to keep constitutional challenges of that law at bay. They are at bay, now, as you read this.
Bao claims that the prosecution never actually asked him the questions that were crucial to the success in the case, and that he changed his opinion after repeatedly being warned… from the time he initially examined Martin and the time he was on the stand. Bao and his attorney say they believe he was fired for questioning the way the case was handled, and possibly for not going long with the desired narrative.
Bao was “supposed” to follow the prosecution’s line that Trayvon was “doped up like a Jamacian” on marijuana, but instead told the truth that the minimal amount in Trayvon’s body, would in no way impair his judgment.
Before one dismisses this accusation out of hand, one must wonder. Why has it not been disproven already? A exhumation would easily prove Bao to be a liar, or instead a whistle blower. Surely there are the police photos from the coroner’s office, or crime scene, showing a shot into the front cavity of Mr. Martin, or his back, completely unscathed..
This accusation, if it was not true, would have already been completely shot down days ago. But it hasn’t… Why not? Are there no pictures of Trayvon Martin dispelling this notion?
If not, then why of all cases where routine pictures are always taken, is this case, which since it’s beginning has been under suspicion of miscarrying of justice, had its pictures been lost, … or stolen?
And that, is where we are.
All evidence now, after the trial, certainly point to Zimmerman executing Trayvon Martin while he was on his knees, back towards him, most likely begging for his life, and a) because blacks in hoodies cannot be right in that Southern Community, and b) because legitimacy of the Stand Your Ground Law was under attack, … bigger interests than either of these two people, had to insure that all stereotypes played out as they are supposed to in storybook little Florida towns….
There was little to report in Sanford. The big event was a bust. The police would not allow anyone in front of the courthouse and directed everyone to a park far away. Anyone without a GPS got lost. At most there were about 45 people at one time and probably 70 total stretched over the two hours. Everyone was well behaved, and the town is surprisingly not hostile. In fact, they prefer protesters over the media that has worn out its welcome lately.
A circle of the few gathered, a pastor said prayers, then anyone was allowed to go into the circle to speak. It was filmed in its entirety from a roof top on the edge of the park. Met one really nice Hispanic girl from Jacksonville who had come down to add her culture’s victims to the group. We all understood the importance.
It was a nice gathering, most were Southerners, Miami had the largest contingent I think. But the world is not going to change, at least from here. From what I hear, it was 10 degrees cooler here, a thousand miles closer to the tropics. :).
Just as a civil suit brought down OJ, so it shall Zimmerman. The civil suit drops the reasonable doubt clause. The civil suit can be decided upon the preponderance of evidence.
It will hinge on did, or did not Zimmerman exit his car. For we all know, if he’d never exited his car, Trayvon would have returned home to watch a little TV.
Therefore his actions, not Trayvon’s, propagated the incident and damages must be awarded to Trayvon’s family.
Stand your ground will have no play here. It will hinge on whether Trayvon would be alive, if Zimmerman had stayed in his car. The simple answer is yes.
So bring it on.
Today Governor Scott, Florida Tea Party who rode into the statehouse itself upon the promise he was going to abolish the abomination of Obamacare in the state of Florida.
He threw in the towel and now supports it. His state is joining the Federal exchange. His reason? He saw with his mother that it was a really super great plan full or wonderfulness, and that not buying in, would be very bad for Florida.
Go figure.
Republican Governors have thrown in the towels one by one. It is such a great plan, they can’t refuse… Without it, balancing a state budget is impossible. Ironically Republicans who supposedly hate bigger government, are all lining up for the Federal exchange.
It is the best and will be the closest best thing to single payer.
Furthermore, more great Obama care news.
Because of Obamacare, the Medicare expense projected for the rest of this decade, has just in this past year alone, fallen half a trillion dollars. $511 billion dollars to be exact! Obamacare is cutting the deficit right in the entitlement belt….
Half a trillion dollars.
This is not new news. It was out there when the bill first got passed. It has been out there ever since. But for some reason the American media chose to focus on those who were against it, long before they understood it… Once understanding, everybody is coming aboard.
Where was the communication breakdown? Why wasn’t this positive news rolled out int he beginning? Just think, it could have save a lot of drama had these facts been picked up and extolled by the media, and had the right wing been excoriated for their stupidity.
Good things win out in the end, and Obamacare, as one can see by the Republican Governors coming aboard one by one, is a good thing.
Just think how horrible it would have been if on day one, Romney had signed a bill to abolish Obamacare?
Fortunately for all of us, America always knows best.

Tallahassee, the capitol city of Florida, a state of 19 million people, had a parade for veterans, … and nobody came…..
And this state went for Mitt Romney, overwhelmingly. And this state is also considered the birthplace of the Tea Party. And this state is so backward they don’t arrest someone standing over the body of a dead man, because that dead man’s skin is darker than the guy holding the gun….
And this state doesn’t give a fuck about veterans. Yet they were the first to argue that American men and women go over to invade Iraq….
Selfish, selfish, selfish Floridians. And they… liked Mitt Romney the best…
This is exactly what we will get, if Mitt Romney becomes president. A country where no one cares….
Only one man can stop Mitt now. It is now, or never….

Couldn’t help but notice…. If Santorum and Paul had disappeared, the vote would have been, 52.2% Gingrich, 46.4% Romney.
Florida is a big state and it is hard, unlike South Carolina, to get to know a candidate, or know someone who actually met the candidate… Plus, Floridians are not the most intellectually curious of Americans. They tend to take what is handed to them…

A startling fact has emerged from exit polling.
This money comes from who knows where… Ads have no bounds to be true. They can say anything, true or false, and it is completely legal….
Furthermore, anyone can throw money into a campaign, place an ad themselves that has no truth behind it, and apparently, it will influence 60% of those who see it, and half of those will use it to decide their vote…
So 30% of the Florida election was decided on the money of SuperPACs, which is just a euphanism for one or two billionaires…
Americas’ elections are bought. Florida just proved it…. People don’t matter.
