“Reproductive rights and justice has always been about a fundamental respect – or in this case, disrespect – of women’s bodily integrity and autonomy”.

Either our bodies are our own, or they’re not...

“We are witnessing a moment where our country could move backwards – either back to a place where “boys will be boys” and men will make decisions for women. Or towards a future where our culture and politics understand and respect women as autonomous full human beings.”

Those are the two paths.

All of America heard Trump deny he’s ever sexually assaulted women, even though he himself has publicly described having habitually done just that.

What Trump doesn’t realize in his denials, was how many of his listeners are thinking about all the times men have done the exact same things to them.

And then you have his Republican women defenders: Party over human rights……..

They still vigorously defended their candidate as the one that will be best for women, and ultimately the country. They are unconcerned about his comments on women and weight or Alicia Machado.

They say they don’t think it matters. They really don’t care about Miss Universe. That’s not what politics are about to them.

But for everyone wearing larger than a size 12,  Trump’s comments have affirmed that due to ones size, they would be invalid in a world where Trump leads.

When it comes to the plate set before women, there is a graphically clear choice…..

We are choosing between

  • A candidate who has spent her political career fighting for reproductive rights, and a candidate who says that women who have abortions need to be punished.
  • A candidate who said this week in the final debate unequivocally that she will defend Planned Parenthood, and a candidate who has promised to defund it.
  • A choice between a person who has spent her life in public service, and a braggadocious businessman who rips off his workers.

And, perhaps most tellingly: we’re making a decision between a woman who has said that “women’s rights are human rights” and a man who says if you want to and can get away with it, you can just grab women “by the pussy”.

Polls tell us that on November 8, pussy will grab back…..

But it does not end with just a presidential choice.  Across this nation, in every voting district are hundreds of people lined up to be chosen by the voters carrying Trump’s philosophy forward… which is to put the brakes on a women’s right to control her destiny, which is to promise to continue the culture of letting men be boys and boys be men, which is to minimize the individuality that all women have.  The issue does not go away with just electing the person at the top.

No.  Everyone down ballot who still supports Trump, needs to go as well… You really need to know who is still supporting the back-room deals of keeping women under men’s control, whether they voice it or not… You will be able to tell by their actions…. Are they upset enough to denounce probably that presidential candidate most disrespectable of women in the history of the USA?

The following ….. are not….

Lip service is one thing. Actions are something else.  All of the above at this late date are still supportive of Donald Trump and what he stands for….

These are all the Republicans running for state office, but two… I must isolate and mention both of them and encourage you to vote them in over their democrat opponents (no loss there in both seats) to show the world that Delaware is not a satellite of Donald Trump….

These two very special people are:

Meredith Chapman    Senate District 8

James Spadola    Senate District 1

Delaware’s Republican Party wants to be known as the party of inclusion.. The have a marketing firm trying very hard to present an “image” that helps make this seem believable.

“What we’re telling people is that the principles that drive the Republican party are inclusive, and we’ve had candidates up and down our ticket who reflect that,” said Charlie Copeland, a former state Senate Minority leader who now runs the Delaware GOP.
Voters in November will find a ballot with a number of young candidates, women and people of color, a reflection of a concerted effort within the state party to broaden its appeal and ditch its stereotypical image…..

Yet none of these young, women, or people of color have disassociated themselves from the most bigoted, racist, misogynist, hateful, secular, satanist candidate we have ever seen….

For example, click on Jean Dowding’s website. She is running against Sean Lynn in Dover. Can we really expect her to enthusiastically support Trump’s call to round up all blacks openly execute them on the spot in the name of “keeping our streets safe”?

Of course not.  but she is solidly (in public if not private) toeing Charlie Copeland’s line and says she solidly supports and is behind the top of the ticket: Donald Trump, that guy pictured at the top of this article….

(Now to be fair, Donald Trump now is not the same one here in Delaware last April.. If campaigning hard as local candidates are wont to do, she may actually not be aware of what he now stands for)….

Here is the updated list of Donald’s current stance, just off of Delaware Liberal’s site. Thanks Guys, 🙂 )

Cut taxes for me.
Cut business taxes for my business.
Frack, baby, frack.
Keep America ignorant.
Implement legislation written by heath insurance companies.
Create a reality TV show that is one part “Hunger Games” and another part “Logan’s Run”.
Stop Mexicans.
Stop and Frisk The Blacks.
End Islam.
Get even with the Republican Party and the Clintons.

This is directly taken from yesterday’s Donald Trump’s 100 day speech!… This is what he is preaching today.. and this is what every single one of the following below is supporting, whether they know it or not…

Today, we often look back on history as the rise and fall of monolithic entities, we think of Nazi Germany, we think of Soviet Russia, we think of Ayatollah Khomeini’s Iran…

Only they weren’t monolithic.  They were established by one sect over-ruling another sect of their people.. Once in control, as presented to the world at large, they then became monolithic entities… But inside, there were a lot of citizens who passionately felt they too were going the wrong direction (until they were killed, lol) ?  Many changed their initial support after they discovered the true nature of those who they put their vote behind…(and then they were ratted on, and killed, lol).

Today, we already know what Trump stands for. We already know how much ineptitude he represents. We already know how unprepared he is to lead the greatest nation in the world, We already know how far his values lead our nation from its principals based on those principles underlying all the world’s great faiths.. Today we know what a selfish, sniveling, little snot he really is..

Hitler to his credit, was able to hide it.  Stalin, to his credit was able to hide it. Trump to his discredit, spread it across our TV’s for all to see.

And, you still support him?  What in the hell is wrong with you?  Seriously… Go look in the mirror and say eye to ey to your image that you support in full the above 100 days contract and are proud to represent to your color, your gender, or your age group, that ideal as an American Republican…  And if it gags you when doing it in your own mirror image, you can imagine how it gags all of humanity to see you remain silent against the upcoming destruction of the Constitution as well as the underpinning of America’s great economy…

It takes courage to stand up to ones enemies… It takes an untold almost insurmountable level of courage to stand up to ones supporters and friends…

The path all of you have chosen to follow, is atheistic and non biblical. ….

James 4:17  So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

James 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

Titus 2:7-9 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent, may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Galatians 5:19-26  Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. …

Micah 6:8  He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Matthew 7:21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

3 John 1:11  Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.

Titus 3:14  And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14  The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

James 2:24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

All which deal a blow directly to Charlie Copeland’s leadership of the party… It’s not what you say Charlie, but how your party acts, on which they will be judged….

All of the following have chosen to act one certain way… which is to support the candidate of their party no matter how crazy he has become… One must seriously question the psychological makeup of anyone who will support violence against women, against blacks, against Hispanics, against the deeply religious, (as long as they are Muslims)…

These people below do not deserve to represent America in the 21st Century……  Please check to see if you have any candidates listed and then be sure to vote for their opponent, or click them, and ask them why they say one thing, but do the opposite which is another….

Delaware’s head of the Republican Party, Charlie Copeland, stands by and says he will vote for “Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Trump, according to insiders of the Republican Party tonight.

Delaware’s Republican candidate for the office of Governor, Colin Bonini, commented this will “blow” over and he will support Mr.”Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Trump up to election day…

Jeff Cragg. Republican candidate for office of Insurance Commissioner ….(I can’t find any statement nor does anyone know of anything ever said from this stealth candidate… However I know Jeff Cragg; Jeff Cragg is a friend of mine… And there is no way he will support “Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Donald Trump… nor will his wife)..

Hans Reigle was quoted earlier before the news breakout regarding “Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Trump... He said he didn’t approve of Trump but was still voting for him…  Don’t know if he’s changed his mind… in the past 3 hours.

La Mar T Gunn... Nothing yet, which is surprising from an Afro-American running as Lieutenant Governor….

As of right now, the following State Senator candidates are on the record for supporting Mr. “Grab Them By The Pussy” Trump... (That may change when they wake up and read this, lol)

And still of right now, the following State Representatives are still on board with “Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Trump.…. (which means they either approve of grabbing women by the pu$$y or are just too timid to go against their party’s nominee and have to “wait” for the green light from Charlie Copeland before abandoning ship”… (Because, after all, party is always MORE important than COUNTRY to a Republican.)

All the rest of the row offices I really can’t get to and most likely their view of Trump has probably not been expressed anywhere publicly….So I will stop here.

HOWEVER, there is ONE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE WHO LONG AGO, SAID THEY COULD NEVER SUPPORT TRUMP… AND THAT IS THE 8TH SENATORIAL DISTRICT’S MEREDITH CHAPMAN

One appreciates her courage and wisdom even more when it is set against the tidal wave of those who apparently have no qualms pushing the button for a President “Grab Them By The Pu$$y” Trump…

Send you here for more info……

In a moment of great optimism and with a fresh start the Legislature opened January 2015, after the 2014 midterm election…

It didn’t last long.  The machinations to control the Legislature were implemented immediately January 5th with the removal of John Kowalko from the House Education Committee. (Kowalko was also stripped of his chairmanship on the House Energy Committee, where he had served for eight years. Editors Note: John Kowalko was a major people’s champion AGAINST the erratically thrown-together School Priority Plan, and the bumbling as well as medically dangerous DATA CENTER proposed to sit almost in the heart of Downtown Newark.)

Some said it was punishment. But the real reason, was that future forward movement of bills unfriendly to the public good, could never have slipped through silently, had Kowalko remained on that committee.

Fortunately Kim Williams took John’s mantle  of people’s advocate, and ran with it.

But this Legislative session will be known more for what didn’t happen, than what did…

  • What didn’t happen, and this is a big surprise, is that the Coastal Zone Act did not get legislatively weakened… It stands as it was.
  • What didn’t happen, is that all teachers receive 100% of their evaluation based on results of the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
  • What didn’t happen, is that our entire school system become solely dependent on the flawed Smarter Balanced Assessment results.
  • What didn’t happen was that Delaware shift over to a pro-Charter School state….

Sadly some other things did not happen.. We did nothing to get ourselves out of the financial rut the US Chamber of Commerce pro-business policies had sunk our state into.

  • Sadly, we did not pass a measly 10 cent gas tax which would put $50 million a year into the state treasury. possibly to be used for road improvements.
  • Sadly, we did not continue necessary programs due to our Legislature’s inability to raise taxes on the top 1%.
  • Sadly we did not change our top tax rates so a trillionaire still pays Delaware the same rate as someone struggling at $60,000 a year…
  • Sadly we did nothing to stopgap Wilmington’s murders from soaring to new heights.
  • Sadly we did nothing to correct the disastrous School priority plan, which all experts agree, threw a GIANT wrench into Wilmington’s school system which prior to its implementation,  was making great strides towards improving the children of that Delaware city..

So if you are rating the legislature as a success or failure, then by using Ronald Reagan’s yardstick of “Are You Better Off Than You Were” (2014 vrs 2016) we get the following answers….

Safety:  no

Education:  no

Financially:  no

Environment:  Same

Investments:  yes

If all you care about is the last category, then this was a very successful session.

==========================================================================As of 6/30/2016 these are the bills signed by the Governor emanating from the 148th legislature….

I chose not to include bills passed by both houses now still on the governor’s desk.  Last year’s HB 50 explains why.  As more passed bills get signed, this master list (first time I’ve seen one) shall be amended.

Today begins primary season 2016.  This compilation is already a “most excellent” reference location.

Just a taste of what IS now possible…

  • Increase Taxes substantially on the top 1% of Delawareans by increasing incrementally the top marginal tax rate.
  • Override the Opt Out veto, giving parents the ultimate role in their child’s education.
  • Remove and replace the  crony Smarter Balanced Test with a test that can actually help students with immediate feedback.
  • Remove charter schools from being funded per student and have them paid by line item in state budget, bringing them under tighter public scrutiny and control.
  • Quickly pass HB 217 (Keeley) which is designed to require that firearms which are recovered from crime scenes be entered into the National Crime Information Center firearm database system.

We have a tough session ahead.  All of these are no-brainers and should quickly be put to rest so attention can be focused outward towards new things.

Delaware’s Unions, particularly the Building and Trades, have over-stepped.  In a world where the one percent owns 45% of America’s assets, where billions are being spent to destroy unions in every capacity, where the middle class has succumbed to its worst level since 1880, the rat-demon that the Building and Trades chose to blacken, was Delaware’s biggest friend of labor, John Kowalko.

There is something very sick in Delaware’s unions…  That this was ever allowed shows complicity with the 1%.

The only people hurt by not putting the power plant inside the University of Delaware, were those investors who spent $800,000 and got nothing.  It would be safe to say none of them were of the 99%.   When something else goes in, those jobs will be there as well.  Labor did not lose one job…

Instead, we just got further proof that in Delaware, labor has been coerced, infiltrated, and is being run by the 1%… No normal working man would want to poison 30,000 people into cancer by his efforts.  We all know the 1% have no qualms with killing people as long as they make over 5%…..

Organized labor is no longer working for its members.  Whether it is the DSEA, AFSCME, or the Building Trades, the lack of new jobs here in Delaware is due to only one thing.  Their coziness with those with money… the big 5 developers and their friend, the governor.

I know the details of why there is a history behind it this coziness.. But there was also a history behind Colonial America and Great Britain… But at some point a split had to occur.

When you have Quisling leaders telling their members that “yeah, they are doing everything they can”, and at the same time telling the Delaware Way that they “got their people handled”, it is their members who are getting royally screwed…..

It is past time to scrap old leaders.  It is past time for new aggressive leadership, someone in their 30’s..  It is time for work stoppages again.  It is time for muscle…  When you have our ex-heroes, “organized labor”, those who built the America we had (at least up through 2000),  attacking their most ardent legislative supporter in the General Assembly because he wouldn’t go along and maliciously kill 30,000 of his constituents with cancer, you have a corrupt and poorly lead organization…. They are not working for their members; they are working for Charlie Copeland!

I hereby pull my support for prevailing wage….  and urge John Kowalko and every legislator elected from the Greater Newark Area up through Hockessin to do so as well. …

Until unions get new aggressive leadership who will daringly take on the Delaware Way and grind it up and crush it, forget it, I won’t reconsider.

Great coach…

How did he get picked again?

Please Riot Here

When riots happen in Wilmington, which i’m sure they will, I hope they will learn from Ferguson Missouri’s mistake.

That mistake is to riot in your own neighborhood… That is just plain silly. Did we attack ourselves when the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor? Or did we wage war with Japan?

Why people would loot and burn in their own neighborhood, is beyond me. I write this now, so when the opportunity to riot does occur, those with above average intelligence will have a plan to move the crowd out of their impoverished neighborhood, and instead riot in neighborhoods where the a) the loot is much better, and b) those responsible for the policy that has kept you down since Clinton left office, are directly affected. If you are going to riot, you should do in on the enemies home turf. Republican Country.

A riot has a purpose. It is to change things. To make things better by creating a situation that is worse than doing nothing, therefore something has to be done. Blacks didn’t protest on the back seat of the bus. They sat in the white section. Black students didn’t do their sit-in at the black counter. They did it at the white. Black students didn’t march into Tuskegee Institute with the National Guard. They marched into the all white University of Alabama. Martin Luther King didn’t do his marches within all black neighborhoods. He marched across the bridge into downtown white Selma….

So battling police in your own neighborhood, looting your own corner store, burning out yours and your neighbor’s houses, kind of double hurts you. Not only are you being oppressed by Republican Policies, but you are also setting those who support you, back even more….

So I’m writing this to tell you where to protest so it will do you some good.

It is called Westover Hills. There aren’t many people living there, but those that do are rich and very old and feeble. They couldn’t stop a crowd breaking into their house if they tried. Plus, when you loot, you could actually get something you could sell. Whose going to buy all the banana flavored Laffy Taffy you stole from the corner market? But you could easily swipe a Bose Stereo, or maybe find a safe with a couple of hundred thousand in it.

And instead of hurting mom and pop, or Uncle Joe and Aunt Alice, you would be hurting those whose money is directly responsible for you not having a good job, a good house, a good future. Those in Westover Hills vote Republican and it is Republicans who have allowed all the money to go to the top 1%… and none to you…

If you remember the Clinton Democratic years, it was different. You, or your mom and dad, did get richer every year and if that had only continued, you would have been doing rather well by now. But you got lazy and enough of you didn’t vote for Democrats in 2000 and now, we are stuck with the rich getting richer, and you and your neighbors, getting poorer…

So take the number 20 bus from 10th and Market side of Rodney Square and in 8 minutes and 15 stops later, you will be just north of the riot zone. Do your peaceful protests there, in the middle of the streets, and shout how Republicans have ruined everyone’s lives but those of themselves… When the riot police arrive with their single tank and tear gas, make them fire it at you so all those rich billionaires have to breath it too. Then when all hell breaks loose, break into the houses and rob yourselves silly. Don’t even worry. Unlike those corner stores, everything you take here is fully insured… Destroying their property, will in days, put all Delaware’s construction workers back to work. These guys are rich. They don’t dilly-dally around.

The main point is this? When you riot in your own neighborhoods which these Republicans never venture into, it only serves to reinforce their notion of you as a sub-human race. “Look at those pathetic people”, they will say over their Maker’s Mark and Hennessey, “they’re tearing up their own neighborhood. Maybe we should keep them doing it so they move and haul their sorry asses elsewhere.”

They will not be in any hurry to lift one finger… “make them suffer more” will be their outcry. But … if you do it in THEIR neighborhood, they will at least wonder why? In their asking around, what’s the real cause of these people rioting, they will come to the conclusion that they, with all the money, need to invest more, need to hire more, need to pay more, and that if they had previously invested more in our people, this riot would never have happened. That is your key… Getting them to call their out-of-pocket legislators and say, “raise my taxes; we can’t afford any more riots like these, even if we are insured. It’s the third time this year. I’m too tired for another round of tax free shopping!”…

You can even walk there. So forget the bus. Just send the coordinates out on social media, and anyone with a phone app can get there…. It is pointless for you to have to bear the cost and trauma of what THEY caused. It makes such great sense for them to bear that cost, and after doing so, quickly create the changes you need to pull yourselves out of poverty…

So pastors and neighborhood watch leaders. Start talking your kids to riot in Westover Hills, instead of your own street. Isn’t it about time, the real criminals get to feel the heat?

They are the ones who put you there…. Make THEM pay, not those who are poor like you. And pick up something nice for me while you are there… A nice oriental carpet would be cool… blue and white if you find one.

To all those married on the first of July last year, including Sen. Karen Peterson…. Happy Anniversary…

I heard that Patty Blevins stopped the Senate at midnight (July 1) and a cake was brought out and dished out to legislators… I heard Patty prefers chocolate… over yellow…

And Delaware doubled the single sex marriages predicted for its first year…   And while at it, though early, happy anniversary also to those two 80+ year old men who waited 50 years, and got married last July 3….  As one of them told the clerk through tear filled eyes: “you don’t understand.  For the first time in my life, I am free.  I’m like everyone else….”

And what’s up with Greg Lavelle and Gary Simpson not clapping along with the entire General Assembly in congratulating Karen Petersen?  Looked like they were pouting.  Greg wasn’t even going to eat the cake, till McBride allegedly came over and yelled at him!

Douche bags…. Another reason to never vote Republican….
