When the Allies began their assault on Fortress Europe, Eisenhower laid out the groundwork for all to see including the enemy. There would be no settlement of the conflict other than unconditional surrender. It was acknowledged that completely wiping out Germany was our objective, and therefore any means necessary to do so, would be employed.
It also communicated to the Germans that once we began overpowering them, that they were eventually going to lose.
It is with that same foresight and passion that we must assail the biggest enemy America has faced since. The Republican Tax Cuts. These have crippled a nation once so economically strong it was going to pay off its entire debt by 2008. These cuts have destroyed an entire class of people, the middle class, who now are scrambling to figure not just how to live well, but how to survive retirement until their death. Meanwhile, copious amounts of the middle class monies have been sucked up by the giant vacuum cleaners of insurance companies, medical billing companies, gas stations and utilities, all funneling into the pockets of 1% of our citizens. The 99% are left with nothing.
The Republicans are in disarray. Laura Ingram is calling for Mitt Romney to start swinging. Rush Limbaugh is yelling for Mitt Romney to get up off the mat. Bill O’Reilly is screaming for Mitt to start punching. Sean Hannity is foaming at the mouth for Romney to start hitting Obama.. It reminds you exactly of what happens in a ring, when one of the boxers begins to get groggy from getting hit too much, and at that point, you can tell it is just a matter of time.
Do not relax and wait for a split decision. Now is the time to go in for the kill. Left, left, left, stomach, right, left, stomach, left, left, right, right, right, and with every hit, remember every family that has lost its bread winner, with every hit, remember every family that has lost its house, with every hit, remember every family whose pension got stolen by corporate America, with ever hit, remember every tax dollar not paid by the obnoxiously wealthy, with every hit, remember it is what brings America back up off its knees.
All democrats are responsible. This is not a battle between two candidates. It is a battle for the soul of America. On one hand you have all that is good: hard work, family, health, retirement, owning ones own home, self respect, honor, and integrity, and on the other side, you have people who think they have the God given right to make themselves rich off your hard work and pay you nothing for your efforts.
It is a war between mankind, and bacteria. Up to now the bacteria was winning.
Here is what every Democrat needs to do up to November 6… Whoever, wherever, however, whatever, whenever one of these infectious Republicans opens their mouth, you respond with these five words.
I’m…… sorry….. That’s …… Not…….. True……..
National Healthcare is unconstitutional and must be repealed/ I’m sorry, that’s not true.
We need to cut taxes, cutting taxes creates jobs/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
We need to nuke Iran today, not one city, the entire country/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
We need to invade Syria right now/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
We need to eliminate Social Security to balance the budget/ I’m sorry that is not true.
The Republicans have a working budget; the Democrats won’t pass it/ I’m sorry that is not true.
The Republicans worship God; the Democrats worship Satan/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
The Republicans could fix America if it just weren’t for Democrats/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
If billionaires pay one penny more in taxes, the entire solar system will explode/ I”m sorry, that is not true.
Grover Norquist came from God, he is not mortal/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
Giving poor people the right to healthcare is un-American/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
The only reason we have unemployment is because people are too lazy to work/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
As long as there is one Burger King job unfilled, there should be no unemployment insurance/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
I’m sick of people doing nothing and getting welfare, while billionaires do nothing and pay no taxes/ I’m sorry, that is not true.
That was fun, but you get the point. Whether around the water cooler, at a bar, on the bus, in the church basement, with the old man, on Rick Jensens talk show, ……. it is time to stop the lying. and when you do, others around you will say you are exactly right, and pile on that republican so he won’t know what to say next.
As Americans it is our duty to swear that, as citizens of the United States of America, it is our duty to keep up the fight until we get unconditional surrender in November….
Unconditional Surrender in November.
Why you have to do a reality check everytime Gingrich speaks……
Gingrich quotes describing President Obama as the:
“finest food stamp president in American history” because more people will end up getting government aid than new jobs.
Fact: George W Bush followed Newt Gingritch’s plan while in the White House.
Fact: The best remedy for less public assistance, is more jobs.
Fact: During the 8 years of George W. Bush, there was 0 net job growth…. Zero.
Fact: Under Obama’s tenure, 2.9 million new jobs have been created, (get this) in the private sector.
Truth. Gingrich’s taunt works better against his own policies. They certainly don’t apply to those of President Obama.
Bottom line; If you want more welfare and public assistance, vote Republican.. If you want jobs, vote Democratic.
History is all the proof you need.
The recession has popped a lot of dreams… It has forced a re-evaluation of priorities. It has put reality in the forefront.
So wiping off the table of everything, everything, and sitting down to a blank space, and asking myself, … what do I want, by the time I die.
It is:
A country where working people can earn enough to raise a family, build a modest savings, own a home and secure their retirement,”
After watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” you can be sure it can’t happen on a Republican’s watch….. For that dream to happen, we need protection from corporations and Big Money; not giving them more and more of what we make.
We need more money funneled away from big business, to be reinvested into the Middle Class… Since they haven’t done it voluntarily, we’ll have to force it.
Republicans can’t force anyone to do anything. They are putz’s. It will take a government of all Democrats to make Americans who die, at least die happy that they were able to secure:
“A country where working people can earn enough to raise a family, build a modest savings, own a home and secure their retirement”.
In a note sent to all employees today, Bank of America’s CEO stated the obvious…
Keep in mind that his company is leading the fall on Wall Street, and he is now in a hot seat with his investors…
They are mad his shares have dropped 29%, since S & P degressed the debt rating at this writing, and dropped 40% since the beginning of the year….. He was on a conference call with investors today….
His wisdom shines forth in what he told employees…
“Stay focused on the long term”… the sign of good leadership.
First it was Donald Trump’s amateur fillies… now it’s the professionals… Delaware has lost twice to California…
In the Ms USA pagent, Delaware’s own Katie Hanson, lost to Ms California who naturally, took the crown… When it came to Thoroughbreds, Delaware did a little better……
Delaware’s Havre De Grace, took the lead and California’s blind luck, just came up in time for the wire.
Even when he drew even with Havre de Grace, Gomez said he was unsure Blind Luck was going to get past her.
It may seem unfair that “great big ole California” beats out the state with the fewest number of counties (only 3) … but, if you compare populations, the simple fact that quite often Delaware and California are pitted neck to neck just before the final wire, it is fair to say that with California’s population of 37,253,956 versus Delaware’s of 897,934 it takes roughly 41.49 Californians, to match up to and equal one Delawarean….. 🙂
We may be small, but we ARE tough!
Senator Hatch’s own words….
“We’ve been down this road before,” he said. “In 1990 Congress and the president struck a deficit reduction deal that combined spending cuts with tax increases. Unfortunately, while the tax hikes remained, the spending restraint did not, and our debt has marched higher.”
The Reality:

So if you knock off the 74% overspent on both wars, and knock off the 32% overspent on the Medicare Medical Profit Enhancement Act signed by Bush in 2003, spending is flat relative to GDP.
Revenue isn’t… Hatch says it worked great then… As reality shows, the only difference between then and now, is we aren’t taxing enough… Any Republican who says we are taxing too much, is like Hatch, a big, fat liar….
Poor Roger Clemens: Apparently it’s more of a crime to lie before Congress, than it is for a member of Congress to blatantly lie on CNN to the American people?
Did he just say (1:00) “although the tax hikes remained (uhh, is he so old his memory skipped over the Bush tax cuts?) … our spending cuts (see above chart) did not?
Caught in the act, Big Fat Liar…. Got some water to pour on to your pants?

The President, in Wilmington, stood under a rain drenched canopy, and welcomed the crown prince and princess of Sweden….
And from them, the chief executive accepted in “profound gratitude” a monument erected by the Swedish people on the spot where their countrymen first set foot upon the new world…
Rain, falling steadily through the night and day, brought a dreary note to the historic scene, at the junction of the Delaware and Christina Rivers. Decorative flags and buntings sagged.
Although the president’s speech was addressed to “your royal highness”, he paid tribute to the Finns who were represented too, in the 1638 colonization of Delaware.
“Finland, small in size, but mighty in honor, occupies an especially warm place in the American heart.” he said to Finnish foreign minister Rudolf Holsti, without specifically referring to that country’s lone practice, of all European debtor nations, of paying it’s installments to this country, regularly and on time….
Accepting the monument, the president said, “It will typify the close association and continued good will between our two nations”..
“To this spot, came the pioneers, but in succeeding centuries, tens and thousands have come to these shores and added their strength and fine qualities of citizenship to the American nation.”
Americans remember “with grateful hearts”, the chief executive declared, that Sweden was the first neutral European nation to negotiate a “treaty of amity and grace with our young and struggling nation.”
Turning to Delaware’s governor, the President remarked that that official, holds office in offical succession of those governors from New Sweden.
Which reminds me, said the chief executive of a rhyme descriptive of the doughty first governor Johann Printz, who is said to have tipped the scales at over 300 pounds…
“No governor of Del.
Before or since,
Has weighed as much
As Johann Printz.”
Worship in the historic Old Swedes Church, and an afternoon address by the Secretary of State Cordell Hull, followed Mr. Roosevelt’s address and dedication of the monument on the day’s program.
