In the Omnibus bill, lies a buried treasure… Delaware’s first national park.
The following sites have been authorized to be included in the park:
(From WDEL)
New Castle County, DE / Delaware County, PA:
· Woodlawn Trustees Property
New Castle County, DE:
· The Old Sheriff’s House
· Old New Castle Courthouse
· New Castle Green
· Old Swedes Church National Historic Landmark
· Fort Christina National Historic Landmark
Kent County, DE:
· Dover Green
· John Dickinson Plantation National Historic Landmark
Sussex County, DE:

I believe Carper had something to do with this…

I was just thinking to myself, where has Kavips been in the midst of this education meltdown this week! And like magic I see an email that you posted about a park! We need your take on all this education stuff, cause it’s been a crazy week! And next week will be MUCH crazier. But good stuff with the park. Are those choices for the park, or they all become national parks? Maybe in 200 years they will say “Today in Dover, the old DOE building became a national park. After the 2014 uprising where the parents, students, and teachers said enough is enough and demanded the DOE be replaced with good honest people.”

From one blogger to another… I have found that after engorging upon an exceedingly large meal, it is best to let it digest a while before racing onward… Look at the big picture and then work backwards… You don’t get tripped up as much on all the little things they throw in your way to divert your focus.
