It is a simple vote…
Should we or should we not put this man in an administrative function.
Please vote yes…. or no…..
(It should be open cut because a majority have already said they would support Cordray as head of the Consumer Financial Agency.) Just get it done…
But, it never goes to vote. In a motion to stop debate requiring 60 votes, 53 are found….
There is nothing more to debate. Vote yes or no… The argument has been on the table for months… But no… it cannot go forward because the Republican Party (all of it) had 45 members who voted against it…
The agency still has no one at the top to get it rolling. There is no one regulating Wall Street as we speak, simply because the entire block of Republicans, who voters put into minority receivership based on their previous track record, voted NOT to stop debate.
There will be no government until there are no Republicans.
There will be no Congress, until there are no Republicans.
There will be no Democracy. until there are no Republicans.
There will be no United States of America, until there are no Republicans.
(Sad thing this is not hyperbole. This is not campaign rhetoric. This is not hateful bantering. This is what is really happening. Makes a veteran want to cry)

“There is no one regulating Wall Street as we speak”
and
“…this is not hyperbole”
If not then you believe that Wall Street is regulated by just one man. Wow. He must be very very busy.
more non-hyperbole hyperbole
“There will be no government until there are no Republicans.”
Funny I work for the government and we’re open today.
“There will be no Congress, until there are no Republicans.”
Did they all just go home?
“There will be no Democracy. until there are no Republicans.”
Given that we have no Congress I’m guessing anarchy reigns? That’ll save me money on tolls on the way home tonight.
“There will be no United States of America, until there are no Republicans.”
C’mon. Really? This is a new low. I expect this from DL but not from you. You’re better than that (or at least, used to be).

Sad but it is the truth… Government is broken … What you are describing are it’s remnants which haven’t yet fallen apart… Fortunately because Delaware wised up and completely eliminated the Republican Party from being anywhere it could do damage, we can still exist……
(Added) And here is the very sad part… You picked up on Congress and said, “What happened, did they just go home?” Of course they didn’t, but it shows Democrats and Republicans have two very different ideas of how Congress should act. Republicans think is it appropriate that representative just show up and mouth off their personal beliefs into a microphone.. “Blah, blah, blah, I think this.” That is fine with them. That is what they think Congress is supposed to do.
Democrats think Congress is supposed to make a difference. Democrats think they are responsible for keeping America running. Democrats think that when the leave Congress, actual things should have gotten done… Within that frame of reference, Congress today “does not” exist…. because Republicans have stopped the process of “getting things done”
Seriously, you should consider the morality of supporting and still being on the side that is tearing America down.
Comprende a little better now? 🙂
