I think the picture says it all…. What was “best for Delaware” was not one of the criteria used in the choosing our representative to those handful of people who will shape our country for the next generation to come….
Apparently, despite all my best calculations, I have misjudged the internal damage done within our lame duck governor’s synapses. Again….. had Carney only listened when I urged him to forget the governorship and take on Castle…..
Nothing against Ted. But these things sometimes have their reason…. May the Almighty walk with Ted over these next two years……and when his time comes… he has the courage and convictions of one Senator Ross.

God, I hope so. It’s still freaking odd that she is holding a press conference to appoint someone to a seat that is not yet vacant. Weird man, weird.

John Carney is too valuable an asset to Delaware to be shown the door on public service. Politics aside, John has talents that are badly needed right now. I hope Jack Markell finds an important role for him.

I would much prefer someone who was elected to some position verses someone who has never held any office before.

John made so much sense, that it was hard to believe rumors to the contrary.
As I said above, when the natural progression is tampered with…. there is an underlying reason that history will make apparent…. such as when Jacob stole Esau’s birthright four thousand years ago.

I think this might be a bit of a dramatic interpretation of events.
Many of the votes will be along Party lines with Moderate to Liberal Democrats voting together on most of Obama’s initiatives would be my opinion as of now . My guess is the voting record of Ted Kaufman and John Carney , both former Biden staff members, would be pretty similar.
I would think 19 years as Biden’s chief of staff would give Kaufman a pretty good edge on understanding constituent services which does not get a lot of play on the blogs, but which can very positively impact the lives if individual Delawareans.
I think it will be okay.
