Anyone out there who really puts America first…. should be thrilled at how yesterday’s election day transcribed….
Think about that for a second….

Shouldn’t that be “transpired” not “Transcribed”?

FFS, you can’t even enjoy one day without smearing the people that don’t agree with your political choice?
Please remember that every time you imply that your opposition “doesn’t put America first” or similar divisive jibes, you’re shitting all over Obama’s message of unity. Even DE Lib had more grace than this, kavips.

I disagree Joe. Putting America first is the solemn duty ahead. There is no glossing over that. WE HAVE HAD a unified bunch of shit in DC doing just the opposite until we have had to look down the throat of a very fascistic nation. Global investments and interests have taken the fore and it is time to say to stockholders and Wall Street mavens: Step Off of My Lawn.

Joe,
You have to realize that the key question is whether or not the new majority recognizes the legitimacy of a “loyal opposition.” Early returns suggest they don’t.

Listen, Democrats have the opportunity to get behind Obama’s call for unity and forgive the past, or to continue with the divisive bullshit that Obama wants to fight against.
It’s your choice: work for change or turn your back on fighting for unity.

At the very least, a little grace in victory shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Steve, that is a key question that could be mooted if there is no loyal opposition. This is a two-way street, and a pileup on either side will halt traffic.

I’ll get behind “unity” in exactly the same way the repubs got behind President Clinton during his two terms.
Forgive the past? Not without justice first.

Well, way to betray our candidate’s message without even a day passing, anonone.

Thanks, Joe M. I am not going to “unify” with war criminals, torturers, theocrats, bigots, thieves, spys, and liars. If you think that is what President-Elect Obama’s message is, then I am happy to “betray” it.

You are well aware of what Obama means by unity in the government. Not agree, but working together to improve the lot of the U.S.
Do you think going out for “justice” and name calling is going to facilitate or harm that endeavor? How is it hard-core Dems can call for diplomacy in foreign countries while giving it the finger in our own?
Why hold on to your hate, when we have the opportunity to get things working right? You’re just throwing away a big part of what Obama’s election can promise.
That’s sad.

Demanding justice for the crimes of the las 8 years is not giving the finger to our country. Justice does not equal hate or vengeance.
Our country used to strive for “equal justice under the law”. I am asking that we return to that principle. I am not ready to sing “Kumbaya” with totalitarians. Maybe you are, but I’m not.

Black Man Given Nation’s Worst Job
November 5, 2008 | Issue 44•45
WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation’s broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, “It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can’t catch a break.”

Steve Newton, not you too with this Loyal Opposition shit? I thought you were Libertarian. That phrase is the newest to come out of post-election GOP.

I don’t know about most of you out there, but in my household, loyal opposition shit gets flushed down the toilet, at least once a day per person, if not twice a day…
