Are you still making up your mind, perhaps wondering whether to trust Obama’s wisdom, or still fear his inexperience? Are you skeptical that both sides are throwing up ads touting their own attributes and negatively diminishing the attributes held by the other?
Well, you are in luck.. I have given you the editorial pages of Republican Papers who backed Bush in 2004 and 2000, who have always been conservative, and who are rejecting the campaign of John McCain and supporting Barack Obama for President…. Just stop for a moment and think…. Republican papers endorsing Obama… Republicans…Republicans… who after looking at all the evidence, made their choice for Obama….
Now you must ask yourself… If the editorial boards of Republican Newspapers are endorsing Obama, and telling everyone within their areas of circulation TO VOTE FOR OBAMA, just how harmful can he be? Obviously, not very… If Republican newspapers think he is the better candidate,….. should you not too? Remember, it is very hard to admit you were wrong… So for these editorial boards to even consider endorsing Obama, means that they looked over every tiny piece of evidence out there to justify John McCain…. and in doing so, they unequivocally voted hands down to give their public approval to Obama….
And I want to stress, just one more time if you did not catch it… THESE ARE NOT LIBERAL MAIN STREAM MEDIA OUTLETS… They are very strict conservatives: in their eyes, it is Obama who holds hope out for our nations future… McCain is four more years of Bush….
Some of the best awe inspiring writing read all year… is included below…..

In reading… the key determinations throwing support to Obama were the three following.
1) McCain’s choice for Vice President. (did I say she was hot?)
2) Obama’s cool and steady hand throughout both his primary and general election campaign.
3) The cadre of intelligent and respected men surrounding Obama, advising him on economics, foreign policy, environment, etc…… compared to those running McCain’s campaign.

Believe it or not, red state Alabama has quite a few newspapers endorsing Obama.

Wade, if you pick up on this, here is a curious question… Will many voters continue to vote Republican and just switch at the top of the ticket….. or do Democrats in Alabama’s local races have a chance this year?

Wade
I’m not sure what you mean.
For example, both houses of the Alabama Legislature are controlled by Democrats, while the two-term governor is a Republican.
Alabama, until the last couple of decades, has been a Democrat state, albeit a conservative Dem state.

As you can probably guess, being a “red” state, I had assumed that Republicans controlled everything..
Thanks for the clarification… I was unaware of the strength of Alabama’s Democratic Party, but considering the southern Democrats we have in our state, I can see how it could be….
By the way, thanks for the heads up on the number of Alabama papers that had as did many others, flip to Obama this time…
Mind if I borrow some of your haiku’s, accredited with a link of course?
( I am known in these parts for one of my own).
