Obama just fired the acting director of the IRS… This person was not even part of the IRS when allegedly this Tea Party business occurred. He became director just after last year’s election. He found out about the problem at the same time as did us, And Obama fired him. Wow.
For you see, nothing really wrong was done. The group who were looking at Tea Party applications have a job to do..
But the targeting! Why wasn’t Think Progress or George Saros targeted to?
Behind all this are the staggering numbers. Out of thousands of applications, only a handful were rejected. You know what happens while a nonprofit organization is waiting to get this approval? They get to operate as a nonprofit organization. The harm caused by this action is exactly zero….
Which is why we are only hearing about it now. Some of these could have been shut down, possibly throwing the election towards a Democrat, but they weren’t…
No groups have sued the IRS in response to their rejection...
These are agents doing their job. They responded to an unusual influx of groups with political language in their applications all going after a designation that excludes groups that carry out many political actions.
The only scandal here is that this is being reported as if the IRS did something wrong in injecting itself into politics. The law requires that the IRS inject itself into politics. Don’t like it? Change the law. Don’t attack the people trying to enforce it.
And now, the acting director is fired….Just like that. over something that took place over which he no control, no input, and no knowledge….. and wasn’t even in charge when it happened…… That person has retired.
Now I’ll tell you why it was the right thing for Obama to do… “the fact of the matter is that the IRS has to operate with absolute integrity.”
That is why it was done. It was not done for the past. It was not done for the present. It was done because without doing it, the IRS would always be tainted with the memory.
Americans would ask,… are they looking at me? Are they doing it now? Things would grind to a halt. But after today, i seriously doubt that anyone in the office is going to say… “let use all this power to demonize our opposition?” I know that were I to get audited or have dealings with the IRS, I would know it wasn’t because of what I am. It was because something I did probably wasn’t kosher…. Upon opening that letter of dread, my reaction is now…” oh, I did that?” instead of …”they’re out to get me, see?”
How do I know this? Because someone who happened to be the IRS director at the wrong time this news let out, was made accountable…. No one is going to do it again….
This is why Obama is so great. I remember George HW Bush sticking with LA police commissioner Gates, who without doubt, was running a racially intimidating police force. Not acting on that cost him the election.. Firing innocent people who do a good job, is not easy. It is especially hard when one fires someone to save the ship, even though that person has no guilt, no accountability, but is in the wrong place at the wrong time..
Bad as it was, it had to be done to save the accountability and honor of the United States of America. We’ve heard from Delaware Politics and national Tea Party candidates how corrupt the Democrats and Obama are. In one swift move, what we Democrats always knew is now proven. Obama don’t stand for that.
You can go to bed now. Our country is in safe hands… Honesty has taken the upper hand.
When you discuss single sex marriage with Conservatives you discover early on that they really don’t have a problem with single sexes marrying and living together over a lifetime in a relationship of trust; they just don’t like gay sex.
For them, as soon as sodomy laws went off the books, society went to hell…
Not every one is going to enjoy gay sex. Just like everyone is not going to enjoy heterosexual sex. People are different. People want different things.
But Gay Marriage is not about gay sex. Just like heterosexual marriage is not all about vaginal sex. How do we know this? Because before Viagra, heterosexual marriages still lasted till the end of a partner’s lifetime, way long after sex was a distant memory.
Marriage has nothing to do with sex. Never has. Never will. Marriage is about the pursuit of happiness. It is a) about being wanted, b) about showing your love, and c) about taking care of the one you love after you’ve passed on.
Conservatives have big misconceptions when it comes to what marriage is… It is not about family. Large numbers of heterosexual couples do not have children. It is not about the particular God of their ancestors; marriage stretches across all religions. It is not about sharing lives together till the end; that doesn’t happen very often these days. Divorce does.
And Marriage is not about wholesomeness. I could meet someone of the opposite sex and walk into a courthouse somewhere, get married and that document would be honored anywhere in the world. It makes no difference to anyone if I just met a perfect stranger and tied the knot on a whim. All that matters to them is that I have a document…
For you see, because I’m heterosexual and because Conservatives even though they dispise women still don’t hate heterosexuals, as one, I can marry…. and so can you.
So in essence, the sole reason boiling down to having a sanction as to why gays cannot marry, is because if we do allow them to do so, then they are no longer subservient to us. They are not a “caste” beneath us. They are equal and can then heaven forbid, be free to climb up the status ladder to levels even above us. Yep. that is the only Conservative argument still standing as to why gays should not get married….
The way they say it when they’re stone-ass drunk? You can’t get married because I’m a bitter old fart and my life sucks so you are going to have to be more miserable than I am… , so suffer bitch….
I couldn’t have characterized conservatives any better myself….
Whereas that characterization may have been perfectly fine if we lived in Idi Amin’s Uganda all the way back in the 70′s, it doesn’t represent the values within our Declaration of Independence. Nor does it reflect the principles of our Constitution.
All men are created equal. It does say “all”, correct?
Granted. It took America too long to realize that people with melanin in their skin were people too. It took America too long to realize that people with estrogen and breasts, were people too. It has likewise taken too long for America to understand that people who like people who happen to be of the same gender as themselves, are people too….
It is simply time, ladies and gentlemen.
(And who says they have to have sex? You? Who probably haven’t gotten “the good stuff” in your marriage for… how long?)

Delaware passes a common sense bill that does nothing to violate the 2nd Amendment Rights of anyone who would have easily passed a simple background check.
This bill does make it harder for a criminal to buy a gun from a gun show where no questions are asked… That is all.
The NRA and it’s yipping Pomeranian were unable to win against this good common sense bill The NRA has begun yelling and calling us all crazy. The joke is on them. We know from simply watching Wayne LaPierre and seeing Sigler shoot pigeons in boxes, that they are truly the crazy ones.
Hat’s off to all who got out of the way and let logic take its course….

Time’s Woman Of The Year:
How one all-nighter of erasures set American Education Back 20 years. Not since Hitler invaded France has one person set back civilization as much.
Spring Break. Most of us have a break from the routine. Some of us lucky ones, have a whole week off with an extra long weekend at the beginning. Now is a good time to think about resurrection.
Those of the Christian faith can guess where this is going. But the same applies to people of all faiths. All religions. All beliefs….
The overall lesson of the resurrection is thus: there are times you get beaten…. but it IS not over.
Two thousand years ago a cult was wandering around a colony of Rome, and the Conservatives of that Colony by a narrow majority were able to indict that cult’s leader with the death’s sentence. They then twisted the arm of the newly appointed leader who was basically stuck with no other political recourse, into implementing what his constituent’s appeared to fervently want….
Even that leader thought the punishment too harsh. After all, the alleged crime was simply political. The Conservatives maintenance of the population’s allegiance was struggling against the new ideas of this man, and Conservatives had no other recourse to survive, but through force. Force prevailed. The ideas stopped coming.
Then there was a resurrection. Ironically, all the witness’s on record as to it’s being true, were only those of the inner-most members of that cult itself. There are no independent collaborations. Yet today, even if not all of the world’s population worship him, 99.0% of the them know his name, Jesus….
And from the beginning to the end of time, just how many similar cults have their been? How many other similar cult leaders are now known by 99.9% of the world’s population today? None?
And that is the point. The reason we have Christianity spread across the globe today, is… (if you are truly honest), because hundreds of billions of individual events spanning across the lives of civilization from that time hence have led us to this point…. Unlike all other religions, who too once had their ardent supporters, this one when it came down to it always survived.
It was supposed to be crushed two thousand years ago with the humiliation of it’s leader, a former carpenter who claimed to be the son of God himself….
Now here is what I ask of you no matter what name you choose to give to God. Think in terms of Peace, Love, Hope, and Charity and choose what kind of world you want for the future. Go one step further. If you had wishes, if you had nopes, if you had dreams, not just for yourself but for a world for your children, grand-children, great grandchildren… are you happy with the way we are now? If not, what would you do to go out and change it, to make things better?
Remember, all it took was less than twelve people going out into the world telling their stories…. to make all this happen… Do you think they imagined themselves setting up the world for today? Nah. They just did what they had to do to stay one step ahead of their executioner….
That is why everyone knows about the Resurrection today…. People across all years hence, spoke, prayed, and lived it…. Imagine. What if you were a champion for the new future that burns in your dreams?
We can do this. We have to tell people. We just can’t stay silent. The future can be as good or as bad as we dream it.

It is time to sanction gay marriage. Gay marriage is different from civil unions. Gay marriage means much more. Someone who is gay, who can now be married for life is finally an equal citizen. Without that certainty the rest of their rights are meaningless….
“Oh, we’ve got nothing against gays!. You are equal to the rest of us, except, snicker, snicker, when YOU marry, we will give it a lower second class status and call it a civil union.”
Until Gay Marriage is made legal gays are only second class citizens….
It is interesting that very conservative parents of gay children, see it with open eyes… “Yeah, why can’t they get married?” Senator Portman who was flirted with as Romney’s running mate, and the odious Dick Cheney are both in favor of gay marriage. They credit their openness to learning from their children… every parent wants their child to be happy.
As a nation we’ve been here before. Blacks were given freedom by the Federal government, but local governments who disagreed, would not allow them to marry whites. Obviously the signal being sent was no, they weren’t equal after all. Mexicans in the West, legal and forced to be accepted so by whites, had to deal with local laws disallowing mixed marriages… After all, they “really” weren’t equal, not even close?.” American Indians, even though there were many interracial lifelong monogamous sexual unions during the exploration of our frontier, those unions were banned by laws intent on maintaining the purity of the Caucasian race, “Indians, equal with the white man? Get real!”…
All these laws have fallen away, shredded by common sense and common decency. It it easy to label a group with which we have no connection, as a “they” and say “they” are different, allowing it to be “ok” to treat “them” with disdain……
It is when “they” become part of “us” and we finally realize that treating “them” with disrespect is exactly the same as “us” being disrespectfully treated; we certainly would find that to be unfair. …
It is upon that realization, that discrimination against them… finally becomes unfair….
Our Constitution and Declaration of Independence are pretty clear… all humans are equal at birth… and once we widen our perception of what is human, we are forced by our beliefs to accept them into our family as well….
Hard as it was for the South, we finally accepted that slaves were human beings, and therefore agreed they should be afforded the same protection as their owners….
Hard as it was for mankind, we finally accepted that women were human too, and therefore agreed they should be afforded the same protection as their “owners”….
We later had to revisit the treatment of those whose ancestry derived out of our former African slaves, even to the point of guaranteeing them by law, actually making it punishable to treat them with disrespect, in order to drive home this point to Southerners, that…. all people are created equal….
Any baby born within our borders becomes a citizen. Whether its parents are or not… They were born here; they are equal to the rest of us… We allow any baby to grow up and marry any other baby who grew up here, unless they are gay.
The overwhelmingly majority of our culture has recently come to the realization that people who are gay, are created that way. They can change it no more easily than one can molt the color of their skin, or alter the slant of their eyes, or raise or lower their cheek bones… That is how God makes them…..
For anyone to vote no against Gay marriage in Delaware’s General Assembly, they will have to first imagine themselves in a Twilight world, one where genes gave dominance to gays, and heterosexuals occurred rather rarely… Being one of those heterosexuals, who had deeply fallen in love with someone of another gender, would you, a Delaware Representative, settle for only having civil unions for you and your heterosexual spouse, when all the gays around you were getting married and raising families?
Their gay clergy would spout: “Oh, you are one of those… We can’t let you marry….”
If you CAN’T IN GOOD CONSCIOUS agree that you yourself should be discriminated against because you happen to be heterosexual in a gay world, something you were born with and couldn’t change, then you cannot vote AGAINST gay marriage when it comes up for a vote with any good conscious.
Voting against gay marriage, carries the same moral price as did the voting against the freeing of slaves, as did the voting against allowing women to vote, as did the voting against letting blacks finally be allowed to succeed….
Now, since all of those are so much woven into the fabric of our society, we forget today that back then there were people who actually argued vociferously against allowing these citizens to become equal members of our society… it was just like people argue against gay marriage today.
They arguing were wrong then. Those same people doing it to gays, are wrong now….
Settling for Civil Unions instead of marriage is a slap in the face. It has only one point and that it to say: ”Oh, you aren’t as good as us, and never will be.”
Each time in our nation’s past, it took the will of strong people to overcome the strong wills of weak people…. Delaware needs to allow gay marriage, simply because not doing so is the morally wrong thing to do…. Those crying against it with self thought-up platitudes, will come around eventually after the deal is done and the battle is over…
They have to!… One can only argue against what is right, … for so long.
In the bi-partisan Senate(sic) negotiations broke down today on figuring out how to accomplish background checks for hand held weapons…. By an overwhelming majority, Americans support the notion that every gun be registered to a single owner, and if a crime occurs, that owner can be charged with a conspiracy to that crime, provided he had not reported that weapon stolen….
A reader has brought up the major fear all gun owners have on getting their guns registered. They hide behind the Constitutionality that registering guns with the Government, is the first step to confiscation. This is not their real reason.
Their guns are illegal. Not to them, But at some point in the past, they bought a gun in a shady private deal that did not require a background check, and the possibility lurks that their weapon they’ve had for years, probably in all fairness, was actually the stolen property of another gun owner….and with a registry, that fact will be found out.!!!
As soon as a registry goes into effect, computers will begin matching the numbers….
And, it is not these law abiding gun owner’s fault. They performed their transactions legally, and the seller of the weapon probably in good faith, performed the transaction legally…. But with the ability to trace weapons, a gun registered in 2013 can be found to have been stolen in 1989…..
Obviously this is a real fear. I think all of us would feel the same. I know I would. Likewise, for us to move forward in taking effective action to prevent future tragedies like Newtown, we need to solve this issue.
The reality is that these once-stolen guns, are now in new homes, and those new owners are law abiding citizens… Without a registering of firearms, this criminality, possession of stolen merchandise, would never have been determined…
So by declaring no one will be prosecuted for having stolen merchandise, would go a long way to make sure fixing one injustice, does not create another…
We need amnesty against any legal action taken to retrieve ownership of a long lost gun. In most cases a statue of limitations would be long in effect, but we need a blanket Federal amnesty protection given priority over state an local laws on criminal prosecution….
We need this amnesty because we need universal background checks.
That accountability is key to holding criminals responsible.. As we go forward into the future, we will need that clear accountability to control which guns confiscated from criminal belong to law abiding citizens who can then get return of their stolen possession, and which guns confiscated can lead us to more criminals who are using the current holes in our system to funnel guns to 7-11 and convenience store robbers….
We need oversight and accountability to accomplish this….
And putting law abiding citizens at risk for crimes of the past of which they were unaware, gets in our way of doing what an overwhelming number of Americans want…. closing the ability of criminals to get possession of guns…..
I think tacking amnesty for gun owners covering any issues a gun registry may illuminate, needs to be in any gun legislation bill put forward…. It is no different from granting immunity, which across this nation prosecutors do every single day……..
So let’s get it done.
Today inside the Senate a vote was taken on Bob Marshall’s bill that requires the General Assembly’s approval if the Port of Wilmington gets sold to Kinder-Morgan. The deal has caused considerably concern because it has been shrouded in secrecy. No one knows of any of its details. Someone may make billions off of this, so it is important that people look over the arrangement to see who or who isn’t hurt by this major public to private transfer…..
ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE DIAMOND STATE PORT CORPORATION.
Synopsis: This act would require the Diamond State Port Corporation to obtain the approval of a majority of both Houses of the General Assembly and the Governor, through the passage of legislation, before entering into any agreement or transaction whereby the Corporation would transfer, sell, privatize, or lease all or substantially all of the Port of Wilmington to a single entity, or to a related group of entities.

The bill passed with 11 votes yea and 9 votes nay, and one vote not cast. It was released out of committee on the same day with 2 favorables, 3 on the merits, and 1 unfavorable…
Unfortunately it was not an unanimous vote…
2012 is a record breaking year.. We guessed because the ice melt was the largest ever recorded, and broke the old record a month before the melting season ended. Right now, summer in the other half of the world, is breaking records in Australia. They even had to put a new color on the temperature chart to show temperatures over 50 degrees C…..
If you look at this global temperature list, and add 2012 to the top,(the authors have not already), you see a point I’ll drive home.
Out of the eleven hottest years ever recorded, ten have occurred since 2001…. Which means only one of the top ten hottest years, 1998, was not in the past decade…
Here is the scary part. A 3 degree rise, was deemed to be cataclysmic. The US rose 1 degree last year…. As the chart shows, up till now, rises were in the tenths of a degree.
2012 just blew everything right out of the water.
And as mentioned last summer a tongue of ice cold Labrador current penetrated the Gulf Stream, and almost turned it away from Europe; wow, that would really change things over there
And you know who is to blame? People in the Caesar Rodney Institute who said global warming was a hoax, and the Republican party of the United States of America, who prevented all proper actions that could have minimized the extent, from seeing the light of day…
So be nice. The next time someone says they are a Republican? Say: “Oh, gee thanks again for ruining the world.”

Just heard from Ohio… As expected, because it actually happened in 2004, weird stuff is going on in Ohio’s elections… The voting machine companies went to democratic districts of metropolitan Cleveland and Columbus, whose vote totals amount to 4,041,056 registered voters…. and installed mysterious software patches.
Solid Republican districts had no such visits. These machines have been in place for months. Why now?
Here is how voting fraud works. One it has to be believable. Two, it has to be subtle. Three, it has to be untraceable. Videos are available on how machines can be tampered with… Every video, including one by Princeton University, says beware of software patches being applied just before election.
Well, software patches are being applied just before the election.
Why not do it earlier? Because of error. If Romney was winning by 5 points in the polls, and you set the calculations too low, if Obama was head by 2 or 3, you would be to low. If Obama is ahead by 5 pts, and you set to subtract 6 from Obama and give to Romney, you will have a very close election, to the wire, but with a 1% advantage for Romney….
In other words, you have to know the probable spread, before you tamper…. No doubt in 2008, the last minute wave for Obama still carried him in some districts over McCain, even though the machines were flawed. No one ever bothered to check because the turnout for Obama was at records higher than the voting machine adjusters dreamed was possible….
Bottom line, something very fishy is going on. An early morning sample run on each machine can be done with both parties watching… Fake 100 votes, and verify the total. Then erase and begin anew if the machine adds votes exactly like it was programed. One switched vote out of 1oo could throw the election…..
Good luck, Ohio… Wear your guns to the polls… lol..
