In a scientific study, it was effectively proven that children in the third grade, had a better grasp of reality than do members of the Republican Party….
Below are a list of the questions and answers given…..
1) If you don’t have money, should you go out and buy lots, and lots, of things? No.
2) If someone gets sick, should the hospital take everything they own, to pay the bill? No
3) Should Men stick little white things up a woman’s privates? No (We’re talking ultrasound wands; not the stereotypical male appendage)..
4) Does God love everybody, good, bad, and ugly? Yes.
5) Should white people be allowed to carry a gun to shoot black people? No.
6) Is it a good thing to put people out of work? No.
7) Should you help a business stay open so it doesn’t close and people keep their jobs? Yes.
8) Should people be able to go to the doctor when they get old, or should they just die because they aren’t working and don’t have money…. They should go to the doctor.
9) Should a woman have to have a baby she doesn’t want or who will die because she doesn’t have lots of money? No.
10) Is it right to put a pet dog on the roof and drive to Canada? No, that’s awful. Who would do a thing like that?
Just an average Republican……..

Don’t worry, this is going to be a terribly hot summer, putting global warming back on the front burner, and just as the explosion of the global economy in 2008 made McCain’s hands off policy look ridiculous, …. the weeks of over 100 degree heat are going to give Obama a very receptive audience to argue that we need to shift to a larger part of our energy needs coming from things that do not put carbon dioxide into the air…. .
On the other hand, Rick Santorum could argue that everyone plant 100 new trees……

More questions for third graders
1. Do we all have a problem, of too much CO2 heating our atmosphere, causing the global temperature to rise? Yes
2. Should we destroy natural resources now, without planning for your and future generations’ lives? No
3. Can power plants and large industrial users, families, individuals, continue ‘business as usual,’ when it means children around the world will suffer tremendous harm in the future? No
4. Is it important to conserve resources, reduce energy waste, seek alternative solutions that are environmentally non destructive? Yes
5. Will people need to co operate, ration, innovate, adjust to CO2 releasing limitations as required, under fair negotiations? Yes
6. Are you just as important as anyone else’s child? Yes
7. Is it wrong for special interests and republican politicians to say, CO2 isn’t changing our atmosphere, more CO2 is good? That’s wrong.
8. Will billions of people around the world, need to co operate, for decades to come? Yes
9.Will you do what you can, to help keep our planet, a livable planet? Yes
10. Are most people smart and responsible enough to work to correct the balance of our atmosphere to avoid catastrophic climate change. We need to make sure they are.
