Everyone seems to be concerned over who will win? Gingrich? Romney? Obama?
Tons of slanted coverage… both ways…
But try finding something about how America will win? How it’s people will have better lives in 4, in 8, or 12 years from now….
Try.
It seems like our news media’s priorities are not in the right places. They should first be discussing the plans itself that will get our nation back on its feet, and then, after debating the plan, correlate that plan with an actual person who is running….
Discussing people without a plan, is … like high school elections.

Plan? Like the Senate passing 1000 days without a budget?

Republicans in power, would be America’s hideous, fatal flaw.
As the planet warms and the money hoarders, hoard their gains, consider the major issue, profits by pollution and its effect on the environment. When would a republican admit, we can’t continue relying on fossil fuels. When it’s too late. Politicians are afraid to mention ‘the problem.’ Instead, they attack clean energy. Instead, they claim they will most benefit ‘the voters’ wallet.’
They can never claim to care about the environment or they would be demanding an increase of scientific evaluations of global warming’s effects on the next generation; demanding an immediate reduction of greenhouse gases and immediate investments in clean energy research; massive clean home energy programs, clean mass transportation etc.
Instead, republicans have for decades, been taught to ridicule, hate environmental protection. Republicans prefer to eliminate government involvement, by spending multi millions on fighting regulations around the world and spending massive amounts on contrarian propaganda. Republicans have had no problem getting their anti environment, pro fossil fuel, message out. Abusing the environment increases profits and republicans have earned the title – Anti Environment. Typical of offenders, they deny everything; they offer no solution to releasing CO2 on a planet altering scale; they accept no responsibility for trillions of dollars in damages; they want no alternatives.
Republicans would like to focus instead on something else, like.. health care, social security,.. other financial issues that do no damage to Americans and their next generation compared to the overwhelming climate change destruction caused by over releasing of pollution that has been supported by republicans for decades.
When a republican votes, it’s about his wallet and the 1%ers know, a republican can never have enough. It’s what makes a republican, a republican.
Surely even republican candidates know, the environmental tipping point is here. It will be “The Tipping Point” election. The next five years, are the last chance to protect the environment from further irreversible and catastrophic damages. What’s a republican to say, when there is much scientific data (ouch, republicans hate this,) available on the latest dire conditions caused by the over abundance of released, man made greenhouse gases (resulting in melting ice caps, permafrost and tundra; enormous methane plumes across Russia, Asia; die out zones; acid oceans; vanishing species; changing currents, major weather changes, freak storms, rising sea levels, floods, droughts, etc.)
So which republican candidates are saying, republicans knew they were wrong all along, but they just didn’t want to stop polluting. It’s so fantastically rewarding! Which republican candidate will say, our party’s denial has caused the world untold human suffering and horrendous environmental problems that are irreversible and will cost people around the world and American taxpayers trillions, not to mention the loss of their nature environment.
What can a republican politician call an important issue: (1) the last chance to influence the environment’s future, including survival of mankind and many species or (2) stinking republican wallets? Will super pacs be able to convince the hate filled, the greedy, the republican, that mr. republican politician is good for America?
A republican candidate, even the media, dare not mention the truth; that a clean, natural environment belongs to all the people of the world. Nonetheless, republicans have vehemently supported the world’s greediest major polluters as they have used the environment as their corporate hazardous waste disposal system, to increase their financial take.
The added result of republican super pacs is, the candidate who best aligns with ‘almighty corporate money’ interests, shall remain standing. Selection by default; the worst candidate wins. Even republicans wonder why republicans don’t have one viable candidate to run for President. What decent person would want to represent the Party of Denial, the Party of Environmental Destruction?
Can a republican now dare to campaign on the most important issue in the history of mankind -our natural resources/our survival? And risk being attacked by the 1%er’s, corporate multi millions? Add to that, the vengeance of republicans who are practiced in rallying against clean, green and sustainable who will attack their own party candidate with a vengeance, in order to protect fossil fuel holdings, industrial production costs, hazardous waste costs etc. Ask Castle.
America could be a leading nation, but in a republican mind, greed trumps survival. Republicans will have to stick with relatively useless, lesser political issues and go through the motions, voting like un educated, science hating dropouts. Republicans also openly hate their President, health care, social security, unions, poor people, fellow Americans, teachers, etc. It’s time for many voters to re think, what it means to vote ‘republican.’
It’s time to think what what is important. Limiting the pollution caused by fossil fuels. If we had clean energy solutions, clean water and air, America could thrive. Without those, not a chance. And still, republicans deny.
Reminder, (but of course republicans know,) we already are experiencing failing crops, flooding coastlines, freak storms, submerged communities, drought induced forest fires. Released CO2 effects accumulate, lasting for 200 years. The resulting warming is and will continue releasing horrendous amounts of methane, a gas 20 times the greenhouse effects of CO2, accelerating, compounding the global changes. Beyond that, one can only imagine no future. And still, republicans deny.
How can America win? By running the republicans out of every elected office so President Obama can lead the country to recovery. This is the election where an American has one vote to cast – for survival. When climate change is discussed (yes it will be,) it will be time for voters to remember the endless years of republican denial, the added years of environmental abuse, the hate filled years of Rush, Hannity, Fox and the republican lack of respect for our country, our environment, our President, our future.

Yes, America has reached this stalemate before… When it did, it went to a single party…
The Federalist Party Collapsed Under Jackson.. Two cycles later the Whig Party came into being…
The Whig Party Collapsed… Two cycles later the Republican Party took on the business interests.
The Republcan Party collapsed during the Great Depression… It took 50 years and a former Democrat to bring it back into power.
What happens is that the business cycle creates a monopoly through corruption.. Once they become powerful enough to buy the candidates, disgusted Americans throw them out.
Then, those fed-up Americans vote one party, and two cycles later, that party splits.
The distinctions between Blue Dogs and Progressives are just as far apart as those between Progressives and Evangelical Republicans. The only difference is that if America wises up and votes in all Democrats, Congressmen and Senators will no longer have to worry about whether it benefits the other party when they negotiate and compromise on legislation…
The only way to get things done, is to vote in one party… That party had better be the one that is for us…. We, the people…..
A good start would be the party the grew General Motors, and killed Bin Laden….
