Two news stories today.
One, Republicans expressed feigned outrage over the fact that President Obama took his wife on a date to New York, complaining that enjoying life by doing such, was wrong in a recession.
Two, beached killer whales were shot and mercifully killed upon being found stranded upon the sand, with no hope of survival.
No reports yet on whether Gingrich, Libby, Tancredo, Cornyn, were found among them.

I was commanding a flight which was 5 minutes away from diverting because we held for an hour waiting for Obama.
1000 gallons of fuel multiplied by at least 20 airplanes.
What a waste.

The alternative would increase the risk of losing a president. Again, far more of a waste than 20.000 gallons of aviation fuel, that would probably be wasted over an incoming front of thunderstorms anyway..
We cannot afford to lose our commander in chief. Especially one this good…
Your argument, of course, would have merit were Dick Cheney the cause of wasted fuel. As we all know this nation can readily afford to lose Cheney, and perhaps, save tremendous amounts of money for the rest of us, by doing so.
