No, doesn’t sound like him?
Sounds more like Hunter Armistead, head of Babcock & Brown’s North American energy group.

If it is neither of the above, I am guessing (yes I admit it) it is Tom McGonigle Bluewater Winds Delaware attorney…..

Kowalko’s just flat wrong. Even Karen Peterson admitted on our show that the person who most stood in the way was the exact person who got the deal done in the end: Tony DeLuca (through Harris McDowell). DeLuca authorized, if not arranged, the Randall Speck charade, and DeLuca prevented the bill from having a floor vote.
I respect Kowalko’s passion for justice, even when it gets the better of him, but the idea that a minority Senator could have that much impact is just flat-out incorrect.

No argument from this quarter. My record certainly agrees with you. But Copeland was one of the active road-blockers… if not number 1, then a close second, or third….
Since John’s statement does not explicitly say Copeland was more of a hindrance than DeLuca, and collectively includes Copeland as one of those blocking his efforts, I would still give his statement a true rating.

Kavips,
Do I get a prize?

I don’t intend to focus on who did how much or how little to damage the effort on the wind project unless individuals choose to try to anoint themselves as having helped, supported or been responsible for helping the process succeed when in fact the opposite is true. I will not comment on any of the other players unless they choose to misrepresent themselves as effective protagonists who deserve credit they haven’t earned. In particular if they have obstructed the process subtly or overtly then they would best be served by remaining silent rather than taking credit they do not deserve.

Yes, Mike, you get the prize. Congratulations upon your astuteness…
And John, you are as right as ever… we all make choices based on what we know at that time, and then move on….
The only time bringing up the past is worth anything, is when doing so will make great differences in the future… Someone who daintily dances the two step around the notion of truth, must be called out for it….
Copeland supported Bluewater Wind…. Ha, ha, ha, ha.
After all, as we speak, history is being written.
