A warning sign that some scientists worry could mean global warming has passed an ominous tipping point. One even speculated that summer sea ice would be gone in five years.
Greenland’s ice sheet melted nearly 19 billion tons more than the previous high mark, and the volume of Arctic sea ice at summer’s end was half what it was just four years earlier, according to new NASA satellite data obtained by The Associated Press.
Imagine….no arctic ice by 2012……just in time for Biden’s re-election…..Wait!….Will there be a Biden? There sure won’t be a Delaware……

Don’t want to sound alarmist or anything, but this in 5 years?

I have been looking for this graphic! It should have been front and center of the wind power movement.
Talk about bringing the issue home.

Can you give us a location as to where at the U of D site this graphic is located. Also it needs some info about the time frame for this to occur

Just click on the links. All the information is there. Willett Kempton’s and Amardeep Dhanju’s report, which should be required reading of every Delawarean, is embedded in the last link.

Thanks for making my own point from a couple weeks back far better than I did.
It’s time for Delaware to stop worrying about minimalizing our statistically tiny carbon footprint to stop global warming (we can just buy a carbon offset from the entire country of Leichtenstein) and get to work on what we actually do WHEN things happen.
Shit: good news–my house is still there in this map; bad news: need to find some sucker in about 10 years to take my condo in Lewes off my hands….

Did you read the new data? It implies you only get 5 years of Lewes left.
Mahaffie? Where are you moving to? Here’s a marketing idea for you? How to find your homesite, after it is under water. GPS.

“…..It should have been front and center of the wind power movement.”
If it had been vise versa Delmarva would used that illustration to scaring everyone into agreeing to ‘do something’.
Perhaps BlueWater just doesn’t have the same marketing $$$$$….they should consider hiring you.
They should have some staffers who actually know Delaware.

Results are what matter…. Soon we will know just how successful their marketing turned out to be. I think they did ok.
Being on the right side of the issue, helps a little as well.
